Of course, a country of India's size and responsibilities cannot rely on anyone totally. Our best bet is to produce what we need inside our own defence factories. I think the GoI should allow private industries to enter defence production and research. They will be surprised by the quality and speed of equipment produced. The alliance you suggest is evolving slowly. Unfortunately, frustrated Pak ISI may let off more Baazaar bombs. We can minimise that too through electronics and high observation towers built at strategic places in our cities.
