CSDS opinion poll in 2004 predicted comfortable return of S.M.Krishna as CM. Congress was lucky not to get pushed to III place.
Here are couple of bundle of contradictions in the opinion poll. In Hyderabad Karnataka region dominant Vokkaligas and lingayaths are split between BJP and Congress while OBC's are minorities are heavily favoring congress. Actual facts - Vokkaligas are not even half percent of Hyderabad Karnataka population.
Some more contradictions - Yediyurappa is the most popular choice of CM. Coalition govt. was the most popular and congress govt. was most unpopular. Still congress is making comeback due to support of section of society at bottom of pyramid. Did Yogendra Yadav apply Bihar logic of Lalu getting elected repeatedly. Except parts of Hyderabad Karnataka, there is no extreme deprevation as found in Northern states like Bihar and UP. Finally this prediction is made based on interview of 524 candidates. Based on interview of 524 candidates the projection is made for entire state. Even in best of circumstances it will be difficult to predict undercurrent even in 1 seat based on talking to 524 people. Yogendra Yadav made a bold prediction before second round of Gujarat polls that Modi is on his way out. Trying to convert his personal haltred in to personated opinion and projecting as pseuphology does not bring him any credit or for that matter to CNN-IBN. In that respect local Kannada newspapers have been impartial

food prices are going up all over the world .. India is not alone .. it's happening even in the USA ... it is a recent phenomenon, not like ever since congress took control that food prices are going up.
Inflation is there, but thanks to economy, salaries are also up ... people have more money, they are spending more ... today, thankls to our wonderful economy, more and more people are taking vacations in singapore, thailand, middle east, europe and americas

I think BJP is a failure. They are a party that capitalised on the madir masjid issue and rose to power. Beyond inciting hindus and calling them endangered if they didn't vote for BJP, they have no real election promise.

Hi Shark.. It was NDA in Power so they could not decide..on the mandir..and it was not BJP/It is tough for a coalition to decide it. What is Congress doing now trying to remove "Sethu" for their profits. No one is perfect...also I feel best solution for Ayodhya will be having temple and mosque at same place. We want to stay in India peacefully, not hurting anyone's feelings. I feel there is no political party which is not corrupt. I agree mistakes happened...but we cannot keep on cribbing on past. We have to proceed to have progress. Let's respect our muslim brothers. I am sure if we show love and respect they will reciprocate. We can use our hatred for terrorists instead...

I guess your point is valid. Congress have done progress wont deny, because I am supporting BJP. But I guess rotating power will create competetion. Each one will try to perform better than others. I guess congress performed well because they wanted to outperform last times NDA govt.. having said that as you have mentioned all that has been done by Congress is not good. How about reservations?, hurting feeling of Hindus..by planning to remove ram sethu..there are tons. But we have to accept they have also done good.

reservation has done a lot of people a lot of good ... lower caste people have benefitted from reservation .. many have jobs, could send their kids to school and are living a better life than their ancestors ever did.

Shark, Again I agree reservation has helped people. My point is giving high percentage of reservations wont help. What will help is finding people who need reservations and giving it to them. Reservation is being used wrongly by people...People earning lots are using reservations...I guess deserving people should get it. No one is blaming ...but finding flaws in the system. The reservations should go to the people who deserve it. ..Is my point..dont use reservation to get votes from people..

Drunken men abuse kids and women there by destroying whole family. Because of family arrack drinking tradition, teens also start drinking arrack and spoil their career and do not go to schools. This has been happening since 60 years. In fact Congress is supplying arrack during election for vote bank. It was only BJP banned arrack to save poor families in our state

NDA was not a failure by any standard. They were perhaps the most effective & positive government India had since independence.
Congress had claimed that NDA could not finish even a full term & coalition can not govern. Well NDA showed the way to a successful coalition & finished the full term.Congress has started learning how to govern from the norms established by NDA.
