Completely impractical solution. We are not living in the dark ages. The problem is not men or women but the law makers and implementors (police). We need to straighten these. Make tougher laws giving harsher punishment and for god's sake, hope the police will implement them strongly.

More than tough laws my friend some good moral values can do the job. We do not have to make our country as the western country, our moral belief are so strong that we just need to follow them, thats the culture and religion of the India
Nothing can be done. Because as the population will be increasing, the number of rape and molestation cases will be increasing. So nothing can be done. Administration can't deploy police in each home. Only girls/women have to be alert and they need to take precautions. In most cases, girls provoke the men to molest them. And, once they are found, they say this is the case of rape. So girls don't blame to men all time. Of course, it's true that if the minor is raped, it is really a serious matter. And, the law should be very hard as much as police in case of minor is raped. What you guys say!!!

It's really shameful that you're saying nothing can be done. Book these culprits and hang them immediately. Come back and ask me after a few months if the number of rapes dont fall down. The reason crime rate is going up in Delhi is because most people there have political connections and they have lots of influence over police,law etc. Because Delhi houses all the powerful politicians, such incidents happen where the culprits think they can get away with it easily. Dont say nothing can be done as though its a natural disaster. It's being done by morally corrupt human beings and they can and must be stopped.

if such a law id made, it would be misutilised grossly. we have very strict laws in place but laxity on part of the police and delayed justice to the victim are at the helm.

Because of people like you this country cannot progress. Just sitting and blaming other people or cursing other people wont help anything. England and USA were not strong, they have made themselves strong by working hard. We need to learn something from them. These are only the reported cases. There are almost twice which goes unreported. The fact "68 per cent of the rape accused were illiterate while 24 per cent had only studied up to Standard 10. Approximately 80 per cent of the accused belong to the poor strata." justifies the fact. Girls and women from upper strata do not usually report the incidents to Police. This is a very serious issue and I do not think that we should bring the North south east west devide into this.
I dont get this point a city with having a woment CM and still the capital suffers from this , does rings bell to all big MP's who are sitting in delhi to think something otherwise, it wont take time to reach this situation to reach 100% then , this is urgent .

It would be incorrect to blame total north indians.. You are right and it seems that this is a hard fact, increasig literacy rate seems to be the only best idea to tackle this problem.
SouthIndia is much more literate as compared to northindia, especially UP & BIhar are the worst.

In case you dont know, North Indians were the people who were repeatedly humped by the Brits,Mughals,Turks you name it. Their women, culture, temples, universities were all destroyed by invaders. South India never had such problem Now you are left with a hybrid culture which is just a wierd mixture. You are not Indians but just a bunch of hybrids just like your language Hindi. See in Delhi Taj Mahal, Qutb Minar all are built by Muslims. That itself shows who dominated you.

It's true UP/Bihar/orissa are poorer than south
But talk about Punjab, Haryana, Himachal,Delhi,Chandigarh,Uttranchal....these ar the states with maximum per capita income, least poverty, highest quality of life, highest phone, car,elec consumption density, best infrastructure etc
south is like a begger if compared to these states....SEE THE PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND THEN SPEAK

Delhi and Chandigarh are just a few cities and you're comparing them with South Indian states. South has much better cities like Chennai,Bangalore, Hyderabad,Cochin, Combaitore, Mysore, Vizag, Mangalore and a dozen other cities. No comparison in urbanisation of South and North. We are way ahead.

North Indians are good looking ? What a joke ! You take your examples from Bollywood I presume. There are good and ugly looking people in all communities and North Indians have more than its share. Also they are extremely ill mannered,uncivilized and rude. Of course, I base this on my experiences in the North rather than from tv or cinema.
I think all the police in delhi is busy in giving protection to the third class politicians. the bit*h Mayavati, etc has huge security cover and citizen of india is left to fight for himself and his sisters.
Make sure the exsisting govt doesn't win the next election.
