Indians have never displayed great SHARPNESS, SMARTNESS is addressing issues efficiently since time started.
1. Inspite of 6 decades of CORRUPTION, we have learnt to live with it rather than addressing it. People are least agitated about it. They have learnt to ACCEPT and LIVE THRU HARDSHIPS than OVERCOMING them. It is our OUTLOOK as citizens that matter.
2. Look at the chaotic infrastructure in the India. Inspite of the bright educated people, raw material availability in the country, we have muddled thru for 6 decades, SHOWING NO URGENCY.
3. Despite that poor COURT SYSTEMS and the injustices meted out by bureaucrats and the police, people have ACCEPTED this is normal and learnt to live with it rather than face it HEAD ON.
4. Despite the explosive growth of population and its impact on the quality of lives of people (we were around 300 million 6 decades ago, now we are more than a 1 billion, putting tremendous pressure on our creaky infrastructure), we have no policy for addressing the population growth.
5. Despite our heavy dependence on agriculture, we have no policy for AGRICULUTURE growth, which will have a tremendous impact on the quality of life on about 70 percent of our population, we show no urgency.
PEOPLE ARE COMPLACENT - THEY HAVE LEARNT TO BE PASSIVE, NON-PARTICIPANT. WE WILL MUDDLE THRU ALL ISSUES. THE ONLY WAY IS UP BECAUSE IT CANNOT GET ANY WORSE.

Will Indian population be controlled, in Indira Gandhi's policy of HUM DO HAMARE DO ?
Controlling Indian population by this slogan means, only minimise or control the increase. To obtain the minimum increase percentage also all Indians irrespective of their religion should follow the principle. But we have personal laws above national laws. Hence it will not be possible to control the Indian population by adopting or permitting to adopt it only for certain section of the Nationals, and others go free as they like.
We will pay more than Rs 3 lac crores for reactors which our scientists, given the right motivation can build themselves. After that we will perpetually pay for imported fuel for which the exporters can charge a bomb since we will not be able to operate the imported reactors without imported fuel. Hope everyone remembers how we were taken for a ride by westland helicopters which are going gathering dust. Everyone knows we need energy, but is the deal the only way ? Has our highly learned PM ever promoted solar energy ? Every street light in this country can be solar powered within 6 months giving a boost. Every office can have it's lighting solar powered within a year. An intelligent policy from the MMS/Chiddu gang can do wonders, if only they want it.

Why ? so anyone who opposes anything US is commie ? what stupid logic is that ?
Be objective and asses things based on their benefit not based on your personal political likings.
US may be a good country but that does not mean that everything they say or do is right.

Sincere citizen, I thank u for ur honest comments. Most readers here do not want to understand anything sincerely and logically, just here to label someone commie, china agent, whatever!

Here only commies are resisting strongly that's why, I am not against or favour of any political party. But can feel that what our country require. Politcaly each and every party are against it which means they are not against it thier soul internally supporting this n-deal, they know this is good for our country.
A real stupid conclusion - All sectors like agriculture, industry and so on every where require cheap electricity, only they get 25% of actual requirement. Leave aside metro cities. In rural areas where our %u2018dal, roti%u2019 grows there is lot of waste land lying idle for lack of electricity. If we can provide them cheap electricity some of the waste land can be converted to agricultural land. This is the one very very small issue prevail here like this a lot of issues can be solved. If we can provide 24 hrs electricity the we can be developed country with in the period of 15 years.

Sir, listen here question whether n-deal is good for India or not. Recenently mostly all news channels (like NDTV, Headlines Today etc) conducted survey about 'N-DEAL/ 'WHETHER INDIA SHOULD GO AHEAD WITH N-DEAL OR NOT' where mostly around 65-75%, 70%-80% people voted for N-deal and rest of them against it. I am not much thinker/analyser but can feel real/acute requirments.
Solar energy is fast becoming viable and a mass use product. Worldwide the prices of Solar PV panels are dropping and the trend is continuing.
Considering the cost of power today and the shortage and the huge demands by ever increasing shopping malls etc Indian govt. should make usage of Solar power mandatory on all commercial buildings to start with.
Even the US is fast moving towards solar power so why should we be lagging behind with the obsolete and dangerous nuclear energy ?
Most of India gets ample sunlight for at least 6-7 hours a day for most of year so why not use it instead of wasting it as heat.
Also Solar electricity can also power electric vehicles thus reducing the need for crude oil and reduce pollution.
RE:India should be putting huge efforts in solar

Solar Capabilty is highly limited. With Nuclear Reactor You can talk 2000 MW per location. With Solar you can talk just 30-40 MW whole of India per year and PV cells are damn expensive , also they depend upon Day / night as well as Weather. Nuclear technology has no such restraint
France gets about 80% if its Electricity from Nuclear energy. It is the largest net exporter of Electricity in the world, inspite of being one of the largest industrialized nations.
Nuclear power has its pluses and Minuses. But, the pluses seem to outweigh the minus at present.
Currently 16% of world electricity is Nuclear energy. The reason it is not higher was because Oil was at $20/barrel and Nuclear energy was considered expensive. In future, considering the ecological cost of Hydrocarbons, Nuclear, Solar and wind energy will constitute close to 100% of energy production of the world (within 50-70 years).
Irrigation, for example, needs massive electricity, without which our grain production will suffer (Can't feed estimated 2billion with sand on sea!)
Our best bet to alleviate poverty and reduce depravity, is faster growth. And growth needs energy.
So, what Rajeev says doesn't make whole lot of sense. As a transitory measure at the least, we need to have access to Nuclear energy, or loose out on growth. while it may be acceptable to Rajeev, it won't be acceptable to millions of Indians below poverty line.
May be 50-70 years down the line when Wind/solar energy is efficient enough to sustain humanity, we can let go dangerous Nuclear energy. But, that's two generations away.
The Iran-Afghanistan-Pukistan-India Gas Pipeline will be a terrible disaster.
1. All of them demand extravagant rates for allowing the pipeline thru their countries. 2. Iran's price demand of gas is extremely high. 3. All those countries are infested by terrorists who don't think twice before blowing up vital installations. India should be ready to face pipeline blow-ups and disruptions and be ready to shell out consequent repair charges. 4. Apart from this, all these countries will steal gas from the pipeline and blame it on fake terrorist attacks too.
Most dangerous point is that Congress is very adamant in this deal with Muslim countries, only to get Muslim votes in Indian elections.
