India has a way to muddle thru issues
by Sharad on Apr 24, 2008 01:32 PM

Indians have never displayed great SHARPNESS, SMARTNESS is addressing issues efficiently since time started.

1. Inspite of 6 decades of CORRUPTION, we have learnt to live with it rather than addressing it. People are least agitated about it. They have learnt to ACCEPT and LIVE THRU HARDSHIPS than OVERCOMING them. It is our OUTLOOK as citizens that matter.

2. Look at the chaotic infrastructure in the India. Inspite of the bright educated people, raw material availability in the country, we have muddled thru for 6 decades, SHOWING NO URGENCY.

3. Despite that poor COURT SYSTEMS and the injustices meted out by bureaucrats and the police, people have ACCEPTED this is normal and learnt to live with it rather than face it HEAD ON.

4. Despite the explosive growth of population and its impact on the quality of lives of people (we were around 300 million 6 decades ago, now we are more than a 1 billion, putting tremendous pressure on our creaky infrastructure), we have no policy for addressing the population growth.

5. Despite our heavy dependence on agriculture, we have no policy for AGRICULUTURE growth, which will have a tremendous impact on the quality of life on about 70 percent of our population, we show no urgency.

PEOPLE ARE COMPLACENT - THEY HAVE LEARNT TO BE PASSIVE, NON-PARTICIPANT. WE WILL MUDDLE THRU ALL ISSUES. THE ONLY WAY IS UP BECAUSE IT CANNOT GET ANY WORSE.
