I consider the sanathana Dharm as something revealed by GOD because of its insistence of One GOD who is omnipotent.I also belive in its current form,Hindusim is conglomeration of conflicting hypothesis and muddled with polytheism and plethora of paganistic rituals which are not part of the origianl religion.
Popularity of Hindu ideas is growing in the US. About 20 million Americans practice Yoga and the number is growing. Typically Yoga classes include chanting of OM. Sanskrit shlokas or keertan's are piped in the background during classes. Keertans among white Americans are becoming increasingly popular. The singers are also Americans many of whom are very good, even though they have a slight accent. Vedanta centers are very popular and most attendees are white Americans. Vegetarianism is growing. Respect for other religins, except islam, is also increasing. Belief in reincarnation is widespread. Buddhism is also growing. Dalai Lama, like Hindu spiritual gurus such as Mata Amritanandmayi, attracts huge crowds wherever he speaks and is highly respected.

BSNL, You are right.
As I have observed,in many US temples, American whites come for seeking the knowledge,they are interested to become Hindus. Infact they are practicing Yoga, vegetarianism and Sanskrit Slokas. I wonderd in one place in Texas, they respected me so much since I was wearing kunkum on fore head thinking that am a Yogi! Even our own IT guys who were non-visitors to Temples while in India, have become regular visitors here!! thats a great turnout of new generation. As you said, Hinduism is Growing rapidly in USA.

Hinduism grows without even preaching !! now that is the most wonderful part...indeed most Indian Hindus are extremely exclusive, probably due its history of enslavement. Hindus must first and foremost be welcoming of everyone. Hindu knowledge and dharma is not the sole and exclusive property of Indians or so called 'born' Hindus. Indeed India with its strange secular society is far less Hindu than even Bali.

hey Bala...why cant u mention the wave thats sweeping the Islamic world? Converts to Christianity are now defiant, and people rejecting Islam quite openly despite death threats. Even the British Imam's daughter Sofia has dared to come out openly..and remember only Islam kills people who wants to run away from it.

Sample of Muslim converts: Omar Brooks or mullah Izzauddin convicted for inciting violence in UK. John Walker the American Taliban & Hicks the Australian, both renounced Islam after being caught. Dhiren Barot the Hindu convert terrorist. Jose Padilla the Hispanic terrorist, John Reid the shoe bomber...the list is illustrious and spine chilling. Balaord, you may be true while giving the examples of media and few pro-Islam scholers, as in India. But we can understand the ground realities.
These media are either owned or bought for some price. but general public can understand the facts. As I have seen in USA, many whites really hates the Muslims. I dint ask the reason.

Islam is growing among criminals in jails. The US govt hires priests to cater to the needs of prisoners. The govt hires Imams for jails also since muslims - who are highly over represented - form a large part of jail population. Their preaching has appeal to many criminals.

Muslims are over represented in jails all over the world. In France, where they form 8% of the population more than 50% of criminals in jails are muslims. The situation is similar in Britain. Google 'mumbai police most wanted' and you will find that nearly all top crininals are muslims

Because they decided to be the cleaners of this dirt caused by muslims. They let the hindus remain sane and non-violent.
This is the country you live in - where MF Husain paints pictures of hindu dieties and he is not called a criminal. Thank hindus for that if you have gumption.

More emphasis on Hindu philosophy is need...the west is starving for spiritual guidance and wants freedom from the predatory Semitic religions of Jihad & Crusades. Please do not confuse Hindu as Indian only. Hindus can be from anywhere some with no idea of India at all.
