The singers are also Americans many of whom are very good, even though they have a slight accent. Vedanta centers are very popular and most attendees are white Americans. Vegetarianism is growing. Respect for other religins, except islam, is also increasing. Belief in reincarnation is widespread. Buddhism is also growing. Dalai Lama, like Hindu spiritual gurus such as Mata Amritanandmayi, attracts huge crowds wherever he speaks and is highly respected.
