Tamils are by an large law abiding people and take pride
by Vishnu Sharma on Nov 04, 2009 11:45 PM  Permalink

In their environment.

I want to congratulate a Tamils for this.

They have also started replanting coastal Mangroves and are involved in crocodile conservation.

The Tiger was the symbol of the Chola Empire
which was the largest South Indian empire.

It is good that tiger conservation is taken seriously here.

Also Marxism has never gained a foothold in TamilNadu and Karnataka, unlike the other two states in South India.

Tiger conservation
by Badrasamy on Apr 25, 2008 10:58 AM  Permalink

I am not understanding why people are so crazy. This statement was given not with an intension to keep tamilians high. It is make the readers to understand that under what pressure my co-foresters are working in other states and what difficulties they are facing in conserving the tigers. In many States where militancy is a problem the forest staff are not provided with government vehicles because they will be blown by these militant gangs. They cannot carry weapons as this will be a liability to them. Armed gangs are threat to tiger conservation in the border states. These situations are not there in Tamilnadu. Similarly Tamilnadu Police never allows any terrorist gangs operating in the jungle. Very recently also they have shot dead an extremist in the jungle. Hence the statement was given in this context. Not to hurt any one's feeling. What I feel is, we have not become human and still we have to go a long gain the characters of a human being. Beasts are better than us.

Tamils are gr8
by Sasi Kumar on Apr 22, 2008 07:13 PM  Permalink

See the below statement.

He goes on to say, "By nature, Tamil Nadu is a law-abiding state. So it is easier to protect the Tiger here. Do you know that the RPF is the second largest armed force in the country after the Army? They still cannot maintain discipline and safety in the North. But we with a very small team can protect the Tiger here. The reason is the self -discipline of the people of this state."

If the news is true, it really is great news. Iwas told the tigers were facing extinction. Tigers are very magnificent beings and should be protected. But I do have doubts about the truth of this report. I hope it is true.

After all some stupid guys claiming to be Tamils named a most horrible organisation dubiosly after tigers.
