Thought on Karnataka Elections.
by dayanand patil on Apr 22, 2008 11:48 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its absolute shame that the highly educated people are talking about cast.

I would like to ask Punyakumar what Mr. Gouda (VOKKALIGAS) leader has done to vokkaligas.

I cannot imagine the state in which the farmers are going through.

There is no plan and direction for farmer what to cultivate and how to sell that in the profitable way. There are so many government employees agricultural officer) who sole work is to educate the farmer on systematic farming.
There is no stress from any of the minister to utilize this resources in helping farmers.

The politicians now have open courage to talk of corruption and invariability to overcome it. When you listen to their talk in discussion forum you will feel as though they want to convey to us that its part of life and one has to go with it. Its so distressing ...and that to coming from former CM Mr. Kumarswamy...

By reading the views expressed by the well educated people, one can gauge the bottomless and the hatred thinking which we have developed.

I want to ask the viewers has Lingayat community people not contributed to growth of the community and visa versa.

There are so many muthas which are helping the downthrown people in improving the living life.

Should we say that all the minister or all the legislator from vokkaligas case come to vidnasouda, then they will only be working for that community. Will all the roads constructed by the vokkaliga minister or legislator will be used by that community.

RE:Thought on Karnataka Elections.

I am not talking of non contributions of Lingayats. In fact their contribution to various aspects of life in Karnataka is adorable. I am speaking of only political leadership and not anything else. When Lingayat leaders like Yediyarappa and others are polarizing Lingayat votes, why shouldn't Vokkaligas do that. When support for Yediyurappa was withdrawn there were protests everywhere by the Lingayat community across party lines. If Vokkaligas do that it is casteist, but if Lingayats do it is loyalty to caste. This duplicity should go. It was Lingayats who started polarizing electorate and not Vokkaligas. If Gowda has not done anything to Vokkaligas so does all Lingayat leaders. Farmers are there in every religion and caste they are not restricted to Vokkaliga community.

Appeal to Vokkaligas
by Punyakumar on Apr 22, 2008 10:57 AM  Permalink

BJP is cleverly consolidating their vote base in Lingayat belt. It is time for Vokkaligas to rally around Devegowda otherwise, BJP will make us politically obsolete.

I donot know VedPrakash Sharma represents Tamilian name or not. But majority of IT workfoce in Bangalore is Tamil is a myth created by some DMK guy. In fact most of surveys state that around 40 percent of IT staff in bangalore is Karnataka origin. Probably Tamilian of Dravidian Fascist variety needs to understand what it means to be in Koopa Mandooka syndrome.

K'taka polls: Kumaraswamy, Revanna file nominations
by Suresh Gowda on Apr 22, 2008 08:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In the first phase there are 89 seats in Old Mysore region.
Out of that 36 seats are in Bangalore and its surrounding areas. Lot of software and BPO people remained aloof last time. But this time they will vote with vengeance to BJP after congress's Mandal II fiasco. (Congress will soon realize that why VP Singh became a footnote in history for Mandal I and Arjun Singh is taking congress to same Garden Path). I expect BJP to win minimum 45 seats in I round.
People did not give BJP a chance in Hassan and Mandya districts and people are realizing that BJP is going to give JD(S) and congress a tough fight even in so called vokkaliga heartland.

Bottomline - BJP did not count in around 60 seats last time and it lost deposit in 40 of those seats. It starts this time with an advantage with around 70 safe seats and around 130 tough fights and no chance in less than 10-15 seats. If intensive campaign and BJP's carpet bombing strategy with Modi, Advani, Sushma, Rajnath and cadre work in Unison the seat tally can definitely cross 150. But I never see a problem for simple majority under even worst circumstances.

BPO's don't form a major vote base. It is the ordinary people who are. Let the BJP woo BPO. JDS is a people's party, gullible ordinary people who have lost land to BPO land mafia will teach BJP a lesson

Relationship between Distribution of Seats & Severity of Revolt
by Suresh Gowda on Apr 22, 2008 08:40 AM  Permalink

1. The number of applicants per ticket per party is directly correlated by the degree of winnability perceived by the party. Accordingly, it can be taken as a proxy indicator of the winnability prospects of the party. The Congress attracted maximun candidates per ticket and from this criteria appear to be most winnable.

2. The intensity of disappointment on failure to get a ticket is also directly correlated to the degree a party is considered winnable. The more a party is considered winnable, the more intensity of disappointment and vice versa. Since the intensity of revolt in BJP is least, the BJP is perceived least capable of winning

by Manjanna on Apr 22, 2008 07:48 AM  Permalink

Since 30 years no one came up in Hassan due to rowdy culture of Davegowda. Also he divides gowda's into M.gowda and D.gowda. he is most castiest person on the earth.
