Abdu Majeed,
By eauating Afzal and Sarabjit, you are putting judicial systems of Pakistan and India at par. But that is not true. The judiciary in Pakistan is under overwhelming pressure from the executive there. Look at Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Chaudhary! He was called to army house and given suspension orders and then after when when he was coming out from his house, a police officer grabed him by his hair and pushed in a car. On November 3, 2007, most of judges in Pakistan were given a marching order by just one executive dictate of the President, who himself got elected by questionable means. Now compare this with situation in India and decide yourself how fair Sarbjit's trial could have been in Pakistan.

AND WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THOSE WHO HIJECKED INDIAN FLIGHT TO KANDHAR AND HAD KILLED A PERSON? ALL OF THEM SHOULD ALSO BE HANGED ALONGWITH SARBJEET. IF SARBJEET HAS MADE ANY CRIME HE SHOULD BE PUNISHED OTHERWISE A COUNTRY WHERE PEOPLE HAVE HABBIT OF MAKING CRIME AND MOVE FREELY HAS NO RIGHT TO HANG HIM.

I support the request of the family. Whatever may be the crime, when we cannot give a life to one, god has not given us the power to snatch that.

i am sorry for the above statement but before make such a generous statement you need to understand the lose side, you should deviate from the justice in the name of being lenient, there is a difference and this kind of leniency is completely injustice, Hope you can understand, if u r in the lost side then only u know the pain, and how these bad guys simply killing people just like a computer game. please understand and talk. I am talking about convicted criminals, not innocent.

Shame on you Sheetal for attacking a person who resists terrorism. Would you have said the same if your father / brother / son / husband was killed in a terrorist attack? God forbid that such fate befalls you. Why do you not go and live in Pakistan if you all do not like to live in India? Any one who does not like India can well go and live in whatever place he/she desires. Please do not atempt to break the integrity of India.

Hold your guns Shaheena Parveen, I said same on you for using the word "PORKI".
If you are happy with the word then my apologies.
If nit then you should be ashamed of holding the wrong end of the stick Shaheena Parveen.
I do not endorse terrorism for one minute, but let us be fair by using correct language.
and not just abusing each other.
Read Amit rakshit comment again, I hope you understand what I mean to say.

Sarabjit's family grateful for Pak govt's proposal
by Nirpinder Singh on Apr 20, 2008 05:53 PM  Permalink

It occured to me in all of this discussion about persons accused of terrorism on either side of the border and sentenced to die or to long term imprisonment that India has not executed the death penalty on any person accused of terrorism related offenses. Perhaps we could point this out to Pakistan in our discussion regarding what should be done with long term prisoners.
