Nepal has gone in a totally wrong hand.
by manoj kumar on Apr 20, 2008 11:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think its bad luck for Nepal that they will be ruled by maosit who have no experience in govt. Before 2006, they were hiding in jungle, fighting with bomb, granade a gurrila war. Are these people going to write constitution of Nepal. wow.God bless poor uneduated nepali people. Only hope is america should continue to keep maoists in terrorist list. And see how they are performing in coming years for peace and progress of Nepal. Otherwise we indian gonna have another headache just like pak, bangladesh, china. God bless india too.

There is a great danger that the Marxist press in India will turn a blind eye
by Vishnu Sharma on Apr 20, 2008 05:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

To the stream of Atrocities that will be committed by Prachanda and his gang towards Nepalese.

According to them if the Socialists murder 100 million people it is OK. No Problem with that.!!

But if the Imperialists/ Fascists have murdered 50 million 60 years ago that is a GREAT, GREAT CRIME.

Maoist has no clear verdict to dictate in nepal.
by bihari babu on Apr 20, 2008 04:28 AM  Permalink

This human right activist is so happy with the maoist. Why then maoist only got less than half vote, and only in rural area where they keep brain washing people and give them big dream. Why in Kathmandu no body like them. Who is future of nepal. Educated people in kathmandu or rural uneducated people.
Also the writer says india, usa interfere with them. Bulshit. Only thing india, US has done is help them atract investment so that big multinationals reach there and some jobs are created. Also india has doouble worry because same maoist are carrying blood bath in indian villages. Why should not india worry.
The truth is maoist has no clear verdict to write the constitution of nepal. Yet they are gonna do it. what a shame.

corny monarchists
by Niraj Prasad on Apr 20, 2008 01:58 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

how many of the corny monarchist indians outpouring support for scoundrel royalty of nepal (sorry ... the only hindu state of the world) would tolerate the Nizam of hyderabad ruling AP or maharajah of patiala (with his royal phallic procession every birth day) ruling punjab and haryana ?

we ruling ourself is OK ... the natural born democrats that we are ... but nepalis certainly are too uncouth to have democracy ... and the himalayan hindu citadel must be protected by a awatar like king gyanendra ... doesnt matter if his son rapes every villege belle he lays eyes on ... after all he is the successor-protector to the hindu legacy ...

common guys ... do you really want to reduce nepal to a saudi-nepalia of indian subcontinent ... wake up ... maoist victory is the nicest news to come from nepal ... they may call themselves leftists ... but are actually more nationalists than merely chinko-loving-maoists .. watch out for their actions in the next few years ... this is most historic, most heartening news in the subcontinent since the independence of india .. and it doesnt accompany a partition ...

and still we indians are ruing this ... the only time a neighbor (actually Bhutan did it earlier) follws india's example and it burns the hearts of indians ... how so ironic .. and also hypocrtical !

Dear Niraj,
I do not know if there are that many "corny monarchist Indians" to justify your rebuke. India, USA and UK have not, as far as I can tell, interfered with the recent Napal elections. India, a poor country itself, has done quite a lot for Nepal, although clearly India's Souh Block needs to show sensitivity in its Nepal policies. I have come across some Nepalese who seem to think that India should do as Nepal tells it to. At the end of the day, the dog's tail cannot wag the dog - just as India cannot tell the USA to do as India tells it to. If Nepal's Maoist seek to interfere in India, directly or indirectly, by supporting the Naxalites, then India may well think it worth-while disturbing Nepal's Maoist government. Every country keeps a few levers to operate against other countries. So, good will is necessary both for Nepal and India. Then there would be peace. Or else, India has the resources and strength to ride out any storm with Nepal. The Maoist will, as you say, will preserve the traditional, cultural friendly relations with India and her people.

Maoist and India
by Harry on Apr 19, 2008 08:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It has become fashionable to Ridicule Indian Officer for everything. Its nepal which needs India - not the other way around. If they choose to play the China or Pakistan card, we should just wish them well and relax. Maoists have only won the election - Lets wait for the performance before garlanding them. So far apart from being in a hurry to wipe out all the past charachter of the state (The only hindu state will become a secular republic and we all know what secularism means) and Monarchy is not being retained even symbolically, they have not announced any development plans. Lets wait before we jump to conclusions

Very good and analytical article. V should not b unnecessarily afraid of China - Nepal axis. I also don't think that there is any more Maoism in China. It was in the past 30 yrs ago befor Deng came into picture.

what our dear friends pakis and beloved bhai's chinkos could not accomplish in 50 years would now be achieved by the rag-tag group of bodos, naxals, etc just becoz in a distant land some self-declared maoists have come to power (and not by communists means, but by electoral franchise) ...

are righteous bhai ... atleast dont make these bodos, etc feel more imp about themsleves ... what you are presenting is something china deeply desires and is yet to achieve
