So..Congress Woke UP
by Amit Sharma on Apr 16, 2008 08:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This statement of Singhvi clear all the confusion, congress knew Hyde Act is binding on 123 Agreement, they were just now admitting it.
This deal in any case is not in favor of India's nuclear program and for S-u-ck-ers who say it will solve Power Problems of India,do they mean...nuclear plant is Plug N play?and more then that...our own natural resources in form of Hydel power,Wind energy as well as Thorium reserve which are in SETHUSAMUNDRAM region are lying wasted,y doesn't govt. spend money on the infrastructure and still be self sufficient.
Sethusamundram project is pushed for this purpose only...so that Indian Scientist's which are trying for thorium reactor cant yield any raw material.
There is always a Bigger picture in a picture wen USA is the your dealing partner.
Hyde act give USA all the power to take up Indian Nukes or arsenal if need arise.N it clearly suggest, NSG will stop supply of Nuclear material to the country which go against Hyde act...making India Pay for all the cost incurred for watever material is brought plus nuclear plant's parts or so on.

good post amit ji. the only possible reading is that congressis lie all the time to indian people. they are an untrustworthy bunch. for congressi to speak these words so late in the day tells you that it can not conduct the foreign policy.

Most forceful reply to the law makers of USA with regards to Indian stand and options.Well done.....Mr deserves to be congratulated for his most forceful reply, which also is the truth and only vaiable solution to the most critical deal that needs to be adressed by both the countries....Hope US understands now, as it was told at the stone through distance in their country it self.....

US deal
by Fried Yakov on Apr 16, 2008 06:55 PM  Permalink

There should be no deal without explicit clauses of uninterrupted fuel supply in all eventualities, access to latest in civilian nuclear technology, and of course the right to carry out and test independent military and civilian nuclear research. Both the parties need the deal. If the deal has economic benefits for the US, it shold have economic, technologial and political benefits for India too.

Hyde act and India's acceptance
by Kris on Apr 16, 2008 05:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Does it matter whether India agrees to Hyde act or not...the fact is India would rely on nuclear fuel on NSG- which is an organization created by US and other western powers who want to prevent any developing country from reaching self sufficiency.
If India signs the nuclear deal, she would always be at the mercy of US and NSG for running the power plants ( if they ever see the day).
US can cut off the fuel supply any time India does not toe its line.

It is time for Congress to apologize to Indian people for misleading Indian public on this very important issue. Also, those who supported the deal should be kicked out from Congress party, including Sonia.

Becoz, It had to DIE down with in 6 months without showing ANY literally ANY Result.

But Yes! It did Result in Loss of No less than 10,000 lives per day as per JL Nehru Himself.

Lakhs and Lakhs of Patriotic Indians lost lifes without even fighting and hitting back even a little. And ALL their Families became a-NAth (Leader Less) and thus Helpless. But Those Names are still UnSung.

It is a crypto Holocaust of Patriotic Indians Organised by the MK Gandhi Led Congress Party And Executed by the British-India Govt.

By That time itself Britishers were losing the World War And Bose got active in war. They were sure of Losing India.

AND Now You can understand 'Why Not Before'.

You have hit the nail on its head. Gandhi has called the meeting of all senior congressmen at 17:30 on 30 january 1948 to take a decision on converting Congress into LOK SEWA DAL an non-politicak outfit and discuss its constitution which he has drafted. So gandhi was assanated around 17:10 on same day?

Hyde Act provisions will never be accepted by India: Congress
by Vishwamitra Singh on Apr 16, 2008 04:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1. PV Narasimha Rao is the best PM India has ever had followed by Atal Bihari Bajpayee. AB Bajpayee completed the unfinished agenda of Narasimha Rao, that of testing Nuclear devices in 1995 which was leaked out by CIA croonies in the form of Sonia Maino.
2. Congress does not even name Narasimha Rao in their list of PM what to speak of giving credit to him.
3. man Mohan Singh was most useless FM so far.
4. Congress has forgotten that US stopped the nuclear fuel supply after 1974 tests and remains so till today.
5. Unilaterally no accepting hyde act is of no consequence. You also pass an legislation telling that only the treaty entered is binding and no other treaty of a nation enabling or otherwise is binding on India. Verbal discourse will be of no use in international agreement.

Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao's only contribution was supporting Mr. Manmohan Singh who started the liberalisation of India .

Actually it was Jawaharlal Nehru's policies which laid the foundation for industrialisation and making India into a nuclear power . Indira Gandhi built upon the same .

To Vajpayee ji should go the credit of making India a nuclear power by exploding the atom and hydrogen bombs

Srinivas,

t is Nehru who destroyed India. He was the worst PM of India. During Nehru's time India GDP growth was 3%. That fool Nehru thought that was great for the country. He did not even try for a 10% GDP growth. The less we speak of Nehru the better.
