Mr.Bhagwat i mean to say arent these politicians busy in such stupid issues,am i wrong??????????
In the morning every news channels were mentioning about 60 children. Few days before a DPS school bus driver in Ahmedabad did the same mistake of overtaking a truck on a highway and it resulted in a massice accident. One boy was killed on the site where as ten to 15 were severly injured. The thing is can we do anything about this? We all know how people are getting licenses. We all know how old the buses are there in Our Public Trnsport. But the problem we dont do anything untill we face that.
pata nahi kyon aisa hota hai...kyon yeh drive rlog theek say nahi chaltey...mere to aansoon nilak rahey hain yeh sun kar...jin par beetegi beharey woh kya karegay....hey ram...
Sad, depressive and disgustingly frustrating news. When we travel by public transport we are at the mercy of some drunkard who will try to overtake at slightest provocation.
Being a father I can't even imagine such a thing happening to my child. I truly understand and feel sorry for those parents who lost their dreams and bouts of happiness. God...please do something and let this never repeat in any country or anyone.

As a father, I share your sentiments. Let this incident not be forgotten, else it will be repeated. As for action, lets not wait for our politicians to do anything. Lets drive public awareness through forums such as this one. Lets urge Rediff to start an initiative to raise awareness about transport safety norms for school children. The road worthiness of vehicles, qualifications of drivers, vehicle identification (a specific color for school buses), etc. But the subject of safety in public transport is a much wider one. However, public opinion could make a difference there as well.

Sachin,
Such awareness is already on in cities like Bangalore and Chennai. That too because there are reasonalble number of responsible people around in these cities. People are not allowed to think of anything apart from day to day survival by our honourable politicians and administrators. This can happen only when the people are safe about their financial future and physical safety.
Such a horror and that also quite frequently happening in India...WHY? The families of young children, who'll answer them..GOD?? Government?? CM, PM??who? We should lower our national flag for such a loss to understand the occurrence of similar event here and there...
This is the umpteenth time such a sad thing has happened and surely not the last time. The speedsters and unsafe vehicle both combine to cause accidents with tragic results. The drivers are not safety conscious nor are they trained specifically in these aspects. For employment all they need is a driving licence and nothing else. This is the story all over the country. Indians have scant regard for safety. They never learn from such mistakes and I am sure life will be back to "normal" once this incident is forgotten.
Gujarat Roadways buses are one of the worst in the country, specially the ones plying to 2nd and 3rd tiers cities and villages. You will find people along with driver and conductors smoking all the time. sometimes drinking too and driving. the buses are in horrible conditions and the drivers , almost 90% are very very rash. This accident is man made. Action should be taken against all those who are involved from bottom to top- IN roadways as well as those responsible for safety at the accident site.. one should not be allowed to go free just by giving lame excuses. The transport minister of Gujarat should resign immediately
What the hell is happening here. It has been quoted the driver lost his control..ohh god how come driver will loose his control...i cant help myself guessing?
May b rather strange to tell here that 44 politicians shud hav died here...
