that what my point is .. edit whole religious books, strike out unwanted portions like rahu, ramsethu building over water and make it build from scrath... change it for change makes it perfect why can't Hinduism go forward and make is universal accepted

Can you start with the Bible and the Koran? Smaller and easier to edit. When you are finished with them you can post the link in rediff and move on to Ramayana and Vedas.
Mahabharata, the longest epic would be targetted last. That should sound logical, eh?
Wait a minute. Who will target the Panchatantra, Jataka, and Upanishads? The same YOU?
Jokes apart, do you seriously think you are qualified enough to modify an epic like Ramayana? Can you recommend someone who is? Is it Karunanidhi?
And you are going to be the one who will spread Hinduism and make it universally accepted? Spare us from the agonizing thoughts!

@HAHAHIHI:
u know what - screaming nuts doesnt make u screw tighter!
anyway, aryabhatta's book surya siddhanta is a scientific manual, not a religious book - but then who are the groups of saints who wrote the vedas ? there are some mention of saints like vashishta, agastya, shandilya (who partly contributed) ... what i am saying is that aryabhatta shared that same ethos while writing about astronomy - the scientific spririt of sanatan hinduism
i started with aryabhatta since u spoke of rahu eating sun to cause eclipse - which is pure myth and not even mentioned in the vedas (some of the later chronological puranas are myths, no doubt) - but the truth of the vedas and upanishads cannot be denied or refuted
RE:Writing such articles by educated persons' means
by Gyan Vedi on Apr 14, 2008 11:30 PM Permalink
in fact if u read surya siddhanta, aryabhatta mentions the exact phenomenon of how eclipses occur ... not only that, he predicts the exact tilt of the moon's axis with respect to earth's, the ratio of apogee/perigee distance ... thats scientific ethos, thats Hinduism - the sanatan dharma we are ptroud of ! And Shri Ram is the essence of that ethos

The name itself mentions your attitude and ability to read. Pande, did GyanVedi said Aryabhatt wrote religious book? You are one of those who read (oh may be write) between lines and start proving the untruth.

U HAVE MISPLACED PRIORITIES : u do not need to change those books - they are written already! rather apply your logic to sift the grain from the grovel -
btw, about Ram setu - do u know that the original GSI report submitted to Madras Supreme Court found that it is man-made on the basis of excavations ? ASI under communists and congress, submitted a report to Supreme court claiming it to be natural without any excavations ! Now is that a scientific method ?

that means stones floats over water and prsent Ramsethu is floating stones bridge???
Science was written to counter views of church... and Congress copied this books to teach us the stupid citizens... Had Congress waited to 200 to 300 years we india would had developed our own science.. I hope BJP just ban Science!!! since most of science theory is Un-Hindu
RE:West and Congress is the Culprit!!!!

That is not true. I would not comment on superstitions. But, Hindu literatures are all scientific like Vedas and other old sciences regarding astras etc.
This is for sure: most of science theory is Un-Islamic

Why do you find it shocking if a government officer has aptitude of research and does good research about Indian history? Or are you so taken up by pseudo secularism that you consider anything Indian to be false and impure?

Mashallah !!!!!!
The greatest science(Master Piece) is the Book brought to earth from Moon by the last astronaut Maha Maad. The book from moon says sun sets in a muddy pond and the earth is flatten like cheese. Mountains are there in earth to balance the weight of exponential growth Mu Slums in some part of earth

So u want Science ? Good for u ... then read the Rig Veda and Upanishads, they are the only scientific religious books
The rig veda accurately predicts the speed of light (Verse 1.50) as also the exact time taken by light to reach earth from sun

AND what exactly do u mean ? if our ancient scriptures celebrate the scientific ethos, why cant wwe stake pride in that ?
You are talking to chumps on this message board. Most usenet kind discussions are also very prone to Godwin's law :)
How will these folk, who are so partisan, appreciate Darwin. Even less, how can anyone who applauds this really badly written piece have a coherent nerve in their cranium.
Forget Gould, Dawkins and Sagan - they havent even heard of them. A Nehru or a Raman would be appaled at the 'discussions' here. Save your energy and try zcommunications or egde.org, even pointofinquiry.com for some refreshing discussions.
