It seems artificially created Price rise
by Parag on Apr 11, 2008 09:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

today it is announced inflation at 7.41 % so another blow , however till date no channel or media explains in detail where such figures come from..everybody shouts but nothing is discussed for how the prices of essential commodities can be bought down surprisingly India is largest producer of Milk, SugarCane, tea . 2nd largest producer of fruits, vegetables, rice and Wheat in world ( Data based on Economic Survey , Ministry of Agriculture GOvt of India , for statistics one can refer their website )and still this country has million of empty stomachs.. it is all hand in hand work of some few people and govt does not have any control, the channels are showing it is considering ban and regulation of steel and cement prices..but no one seems to be bothered for imposing cap and regulating food prices...... although steel cement etc might be used for inflation figure but what's the use ,humans cannot eat steel and cement...in future it seems here we have to live like that Jadoo Character from Koi Mil Gaya movie , only Sun rays for living .. we shud all call Rakesh, Hrithink Roshan and take that Jadoo's number and ask him how does he survive on sun rays only.. since this price rise day by day is definitely killing and god forbid if we live on sun rays.. hope we do not have to pay Sun Ray Tax ...

We do so much argument to save 5 bucks of auto fare and swear not to use his auto again if he charges 10 bucks extra for night.. but ready to pay willingly what a super store asks for an item or a builder demands for a house or life demands for a lavish style... why not to bycott all these in our life...he a builder demands too much for a house lets boycott him..if a supersotore prices are not fair..lets bycott them..if a restaurant is not charging appropriately lets bycott them also..if you think something in not fair..lets bycott..remeber its not the auto wallaa or riksha waala who is to blame but its all those corporates..big businesses who are not charging fairly..lets bycott them alll...

PRICE RICE IS DUE TO UNWATED ADS/ADVERTISEMENT
by Jayaprakash K on Apr 11, 2008 06:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Each and every daily use commodities manufacturers spent lakhs of rupees in ads/advertisment all these expenses they are charging from the same product means if Pepsi Charging Rs.40/ Per 2 Litter bottle the actual product costs comes only 50 Paise rest what ever they are charging is for ads/advertisment like for each and every domestic/food products comes through this cycle, so my opinon is Govt should step in this and control/decides pricing structure of all food commodities alteast and limit spending on ads.

Shortage Hoarding Non-availability Failures due to Monsoon Variations Shrinking Cultivable Land Businessmen/Traders/Corporate Greed Political manipulations - Central and State Government Failures = Upwardly Mobile Inflation Am Aadmis' Unending Miseries.
What's New?
What normally goes up should also come down they say, but generally not applicable in this case of gallopping inflation!

Ruling party and opposition parties are frustrated from their income. They are not ready to come to help Indian poor. They daily go to mountains and say "democracy, democracy" and "freedom, freedom". Aam aadmi gets only slaps.

Can you publish figures?
by Chaand KaTukda on Apr 11, 2008 05:30 PM  Permalink

Before a media hype is created about inflation, can someone publish figures as to how much the home budgets have been hit? Because if it's really hitting the food budgets then people should prioritise what's more important. Food, entertainment, travel etc. Some areas can be compromised for food. And when buying food the focus should be on nutrition than on exotic stuff.

Also time for govt. to seriously seriously restructure the agriculture sector and not throw money at it (like a parent who doesn't have time for his/her child) thinking that will resolve issues. Unless farmers have more viability and dignity in what they do things are only going to get worse.
