After ruling for sixty years congress has acheived what various intrests could not acheive in 2000 years. they have disintegrated the society so badly that only a catastrophe which will wipe out all Indians can save this land now. Just imagine in Tamil nadu 95% of population fall under some category or other. Hence as our friend said Jago bhay Jago. Throw this worse than british people into dustbin. Donot sit in AC cabins and give fundas. Go out and vote for a change.

YES YOU ARE RIGHT,,,,,VOTING FOR UPA MEANS LOSS OF GENERAL CATEGORY PEOPLE, IF THEY ONLY THINK OF OBCs, LET THEM HAVE VOTES OF OBCs ONLY. GENERAL QUOTA GUYS WILL BECOME MOST POOR IN THIS COUNTRY.. PROS IS OPPOSITE OF CONS,,,,,,CONGRESS IS OPPOSITE OF PROGRESS,,,THATS IT
I respect Ambedkar for his achievements. As I read whem Ambedkar first introduced reservations it was only for 20 yrs he said it is more than enough for them to improve. These people who worship Ambedkar I think only uses his name don't go by his ways. Even he did't use reservations.

Dr Ambedkar was a visionary and great man. But his followers is blot on his name. He proved talent doesn't need reservation.

Upper cast beurocrats will turn down all laws, which is not favorable to them in a systematic way. They have the strength in beurocracy to do that. Other wise 60 years after independence is not a short period to bring up these lower cast people to mainstream. Unfortunately, their condition is still pathetic. I am from kerala and I have so many examples with me how they do it. I am one of the scapegoats of these gangs. They appointed me in reservation seat even I was eligible with merit, which not is allow in present law. By this way, they can reduce one reservation seat. Like that, there are so many ways... Please note reservation not made for solving financial issues but to bring them up to mainstream...

Mr.selah, yur command over English language itself is proof of your eligibility under "merit". Read your message again and figure out or if you don't understand, pl go back to your English teacher.
The Indian Institutes of Management might defer the release of their final list of admission for this academic year following the Supreme Court order on 27 per cent quota for Other Backward Castes (OBC).
"We were planning to release the admission list by April 11 but this decision is taken by all institutes together. So I think we have to go back to other institutes and see whether we need to postpone it by a few days to be able to study the judgement," IIM-A director Sameer Barua said.
Barua also added that he could not say if the quality of students will suffer as a result of the verdict.
"We will abide by the verdict of the Supreme Court. I cannot say at this moment whether the verdict will have an impact on the quality. That will depend on the quality of the students that we get this year," Barua said.
"We have not received the copy of the order yet and are not clear what SC has said about the implementation of the OBC quota in IIMs," Barua added. The Director of IIM-Kolkata Dr. Shekhar Chowdhary indicated the OBC quota could be implemented this year itself.
"From my institutes point of view we are preparing ourselves because last year when the OBC reservation quota did not come, we were getting ready, then of course we delayed the process. For my institute, I do not foresee any problem at all. We are in the process of upgrading our infrastructure and what we have planned to do for the first year of the implementation we will be ready," Chowdhary s
Hence it is imperative to appreciate socio-economic and cultural 'diversity' in Governance (Legislature,Judiciary,Administration) and in Private Institutions (Reliance, Infosys etc) in India.
Government should implement 'reservations' in Judiciary and in Private Institutions as per Caste and Religious census in India.
1. 52% of Judges should be from OBC. 2. 29% Judges should be Dalits and Tribals. 3. Remaining Judges should be from other castes.
Reservations (job or education) based on caste system is only a step backward for the development of the country. Successive governments have been garnering votes saying that they will help the poor & the backward. Ironically, even after 60 years of independence, neither the various schemes for the poor, nor the reservations have really helped the needy.
The government should rethink it's strategy. The best option is to provide free education (at all stages including professional courses) for all the economicaly backward students. Instead of reserving existing seats, efforts should be made to open more schools and colleges to provide free education. Only if this is done, the students who actually need help will derive benefits.
Also, reservation in jobs must be removed. People should be treated equally. THe government should not promote inferiority complex among the so called "backward classes", or promote superiority complex amont the so called "Upper/forward classes". Treat people equally if you really want harmony and development in the country.
Until then, poor will become poorer, rich will become richer. Governments "hands" will forever be with the poor because the poor will never become self-sufficient.

sadly, the supreme court's judgement will only help the politicians. Not the people. If such policies had really helped the people, there would not have been so many poor people today in our country :-(

first choice luks better but now a days much competitive.US and UK must show some concern about indian meritorial students
People who are in reservation for last 60 years still wants to be called themselves backwards. They do not want to become forwards at all. This can happen only in India, If things continue like this and present politicians are voted again and again, a day will come when 90% of Indian population will want to be backward? Who can change this? It is you and us the common men/ citizen of Hindustan, We can change all this only if every one of us cast their votes in an election and see that the dirty politicians irrespective of their party affiliations are not elected. All resident welfare associations accross the country shold field their own candidate without a party affiliation, in the forthcoming election and see that every literate in their constituency vote for this candidate. Use electronic media, SMs and other modes to motivate people to vote for such candidate. This can happen in Karnataka for the begining as elections are announced in this state. Only then we can see a country without reservation.

Mr. Tamil, backwardness is not created by social status, but financial status. If people become financially strong, why would people still remain in the "backward classes"?

In India it the other way round. Every one wants to be backward. Trust you remember the recent agitation by the Gujjars in Rajasthan.

90% is already backward. In TN, 96.5% of the population has now become backward. So the remaining 3.5%, who are Brahmins, have to leave. Soon, Christians will also leave. Allahu Akbar.

What ? when one cant give u a ticket to nominate for elections? and take votes by bribes or Gun point.
to get non creamy layer certificate is not a big task as anything and everything can be sold or purchase in india...............soon we will find average talents in IITs and IIMs
A historic & also a very landmark judgment indeed because now people from other backward caste's can also study from reputed institutes like IIM's & IIT's which till now is totally dominated by the FC's eventhough the majority of the people are from the other backward caste's. At last Good judgment from Supreme Court & keep it up.
