Caste is a mojor problem of modern india. The indian constitution should abolish this caste system completely and all men and women should be treated equal. there should be no discrimination,no inferiority among the peoples of india. All should be treated as one. In other words we should try to make india as ONE INDIA, where all men and women belong to one community called "humans".
So called upper castes should get reservation according to thgeir population (say 15-20%). Remainnig seats should be open for all OBCs, SCs, STs and Minority as well. All problem will be solved.

I guess you are from SC/ST or OBC caste. If you go by population figures being dished out, upper castes do not constitute Even 10% of total population. Look at this way OBC 52%, SC 15%, ST 8%, Muslims 13%, Sikhs 2.5%, other religions 1%. That leaves only 8.5% for upper castes. How about 8.5% reservation for upper castes!
Anti-brahminism has been a "nice" formula for many political parties and activists in India. Politically inexpensive (Only abt 2% nationally, not a vote bank), safe (Other than, perhaps, in Bihar and U.P., brahmins are non-violent), highly visible in important posts during the early years of independence and, the intellegentia which preserved the Sastras, Kavyas and Ithihasas, for over 3,000 years. Thus brahmins and Hinduism are identified, mistakenly. We do not know if Manu Dev was a brahmin but he is the face of brahminism. Very few have read Manusmriti, do not know for instance, that he had prescribed the strictest duties for brahmins, stricter than for other castes. Nor do our politicians know that Manusmriti was NOT followed by every Hindu Raja in every part of India. His Smriti was treated in the same way the Congress Party is treating our Constitution - highly flexible. That Indian society has changed in drastic ways, with the status of brahmins very much reduced in socio-economic and political terms is, deliberately NOT noticed. In Tamil Nadu, those 50 and above will know that the rural areas are now empty of brahmins. They were nearly 10% of some villages. Their place is now taken up by muslims. People like Nanchil may not have noticed that Tamil muslims are now switching to urdu. These Anti-Sanskrit, Anti-Hindi rulers of TNadu are in for a shock. In another 20 years, Urdu-speaking muslims will be about 15% of TNadu's population. Cowards, won't talk abt it much.

Gentleman, all this discussion on Caste based reservation is meaningless. Politicians in India decide their action based on likely impact on vote banks. Brahmins do not cosntitute sizeable votebanks. Hence their neglect.
In life, we can't get anything without working appropriately for it. Even if we get manage to get it by crook, it will never stay on.
People are right when they say that education is for everyone. But people are dead wrong when they say that merit and higher capabilities should be sacrificed to achieve education for some, at the cost of a talented few.
Putting down hard working meritorious students and encouraging lower qualified peers is a big sin.
Sinners can get away from the whole world, but they cannot get away from their own conscience.
A person who takes something for free feels like a part of him has been killed. He may run away from his guilt but it will eventually catch up with him in some or the other form. I have experienced this myself. Its just never worth taking anything for free. Nothing ever comes for free. Someone somewhere has to pay for it, and we get into that person's debt. Only that which is offered to God, and taken as God's gift (prasadam) can be consumed with true freedom and happiness.
A brilliant, resourceful and enterprising person who prays to God can never fail. General merit students, don't feel demotivated - you are being put through an acid test, pass it and you can pass any damn test in your lives. Take whatever comes sportily and realise that God always shows a unique way to each individual, He will take each one of us to our destiny. That is a sure fact. Please do stay true to your janma dharma. Do not stray away from it. You will de

RE:Some Brahmis realisingmistakes and rectifying. Accept reservatio for unity of country

Why not let the best have the best privileges?
Why have a reservation system at all...you say that some MLA favored a brahmin in Jharkhand and hence he became a sweeper in the assembly. When we talk of such instances why do we curse the castes and why not take up a stance against corruption. Why do the OBC's see only favoritism by the brahmins. To cite an example a SC minister in UP forced a private firm in a district to give promotions to less deserving SC candidates...the follow up was that slowly the firm started declining and finally got bankrupt.I hope even the reserved category people do not want the system to crumble and even they should protest against this policy of the government.
And the when we only talk of corrupt practices, why have reservation in institutes such as IITs and IIMs which have a very fair admission process and which have produced one of the greatest brains of the world...why dilute the importance of such institutes by letting in less deserving candidates over people who where possibly much brighter than the people who climbed in due to reservation.
Hence it is imperative to maintain 'cultural' aka 'caste' diversity in all temples in India.
Government of India should implement 'reservations' in all Indian temples as per the 'caste' census in India.
1. 52% of all temple staff including Pujaris/Priests should be from OBC communities. 2. 29% temple staff including Pujaris/Priests should be from Dalits and Tribals. 3. Remaining all temple staff including Pujaris/Priests should be from other castes.
Otherwise India might disintegrate into 500 independent states as in pre-BristishRaj.

gadho ko reservation de kar country ka development kaise ho sakta hai. jo reservationlete hai woh sabse bade gaadhe hai..kya too sade aam khaa sakta hai...
Pityfully indeed, we are the only people deriving happiness in calling ourselves backward, seek favours and continue with the same conditions for decades. We feel so happy that the castes included in backward brand list keeps ever increasing, that is, backward people keep grow in numbers over the years instead of reducing.
On the other hand, the policy makers have not so far defined what is backwardness, and when one is considered backward or brought out of the backwardness. If generation after generation, the family continues to be backward, the number of communities in backwardness fold increases, there is a need to review our policy.
We should not be against providing reservation, but should try to provide such help and reservation by which backwardness will go down. Fix a target / benchmark when somebody is considered forward or not backward. For example, if there are 60% of people belonging to non-OBC / SC / ST in competition making above average mark even if they fail to succeed, then that can be the benchmark and once a OBC or SC / ST candidate reaches that standard, he should be discontinued the benefits of reservation considering capable of competing openly.
In any case, in premier educational institutions which non-creamy layer man can afford to pay the fee and receive the benefits? I do not see any benefit to anybody out of this situation, save, of course, the politicians. Let us make one India-one People without differences.
Dear 20% People who is angree because, 27% OBC Quota. Do you people know other than OBC people learn all skill here in india in low cost and use their skill in foreign. You know why because this all people are not indian they are not mulnivasi. They people wont care about india's progress. They want only their selfishness. And they dont want OBC people to be reach on that place because when obc become higher educational then he try to make other people (80%) OBC also come up. One think i like to clear india in this time is most powerfull country in the world because of Educational power is comming in unity of OBC people not because of Bramhins.
