I think RSS unleashed a very evil ideology.it made you doubt your own brother, your own father,it made you paranoid.we indians must unite and defeat the ideology which took away the father of nation from us.

Chandrakanth,
No point in expecting a (self proclaimed) mad person)or for that matter a mad DOG to behave rationally. The best way to deal with Lunatics and mad dogs is just to ignore them because eventually they get tired of barking.

Me thinks your brain must have been switched off when you posted these comments. The topic under discussion is "7 killed in Karachi riots; Musharraf appeals for peace" and you suddenly start wailing on about RSS, the death of the father of INDIAN nation and the need for the INDIANS to unite against the RSS ideology!!!
Of course it is also possible that this is really a true indicator of your mental capacity. In that case one can only sympathise with you (for your lack of intelect that is)

Ancient spiritual beliefs
by JGN on Apr 09, 2008 09:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ancient spiritual belief further had it that a person who suffered misfortune or overly suffered from the human instinctual passions of fear and aggression was 'possessed' by bad or evil spirits. Relief was sought by offering sacrifice or avowing servitude to the mythical good spirits or Gods in return for favours, forgiveness, redemption and salvation, if not now then in an imaginary life-after-death.

Each tribe has, over millennia, formalized its own particular religion based on these ancient words, traditions, fears, superstitions and eccentric fairy tales.

Shamans, priests and God-men soon laid claim to be the earthly representatives of these mythical 'other- worldly spirits and Gods and, as such, their words and deeds were taken to be sacred and inviolate.

Thus the shamans, priests and God-men came to wield enormous power and influence, for to dare to question them was to provoke the evil spirits, incur the wrath of the Gods and ultimately deny oneself the chance of salvation in an imagined future life-after-death.

by JGN on Apr 09, 2008 09:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Any way as per the scheme of things of the "most merciful allah" about 83% of world's population (all kafirs) are the rightful owners of hell fire. So it does not make any difference to any paagan whether he worship one god or many gods or do not worship any god at all!

JGN,
otherwise what kind of world you want to live in? anger and punishment is a part of human nature...kind of masculine characteristic as well as assurance to maitain justice in society...so what if God threatened you to stop you from doing wrong things? Why we have Indian constitution? why there is law and order? why we fear that if we keep any arm like AK-47 without license then we will go to jail..don't we use threat in all these laws? then whats wrong if God says you if you do rape a girl you will burn in hell. Do you want the God to approve rapes, murders, injustice, oppression???
And kaafir will not burn in hell just because they are non muslims..they will burn in hell for their sins...do i need to define the types of sin human beings do???
I think you want to live in a society where ther is no violence...not even by words there is no threat or prohibition...no restrictions...any man could love any woman...even man could love man..and woman could love woman...infact soon animal sex will be legalised in western culture and you could marry your dog or cat....but no threats..no violence....goody goody....lovely lovely....is that your ideal society without relgion?

Is religion a stumbling block to progress??
by balaord on Apr 09, 2008 09:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In answer to this we always get replies that more or less suggest that religion is the actual devil blocking the progress of humanity. This is especially true in the case of Muslims who bear the brunt of this onslaught from this so called intelligentsia. Finally The much celeberated secular edifice is finally crumbling. Here is why

Copernicus Revolution - Touted by the secular west as the gigantic leap from religious dogmaticism into enlightment is after all found to be a shameless plagiarism by the Nicolus copernicus.

and from whom he stole it?Nasirudin al Tusi and Ibn Shatir the great medival islamic scientists.what is striking is,he was not just influenced by them rather,he had copied their works verbatim and shamelessly took credit for centuries.

In academic cricles copernicus is already trashed for his plagiarism and the new book The Ancient Roots of Modern Science by Dick Teresi has brought this into public forum. A review of this book is here

Institue for Oreintal study - Thane (This is actually a Hindutuva website,i gave this because something as fundamentally challenging as this would require a website favorable to them )

Dear Balaord, some absurd beliefs of the hindus do not make them "gospel truths" It really saddens me when even well educated persons like you are repeating the outdated religious dogmas.

Do you believe that "the most merciful allah" has kept ready some "Paradise" with abundant supply of "wine, woman, water, fruits, etc" ????

can you scientifically prove the non existence of GOD or Heaven or Hell?
The answer is simple NO.But some how the followers of atheism hide behind science and call those who belive in GOD and Heaven as outdated and uneducated as if these are emprically proven facts.
I have thousand reasons to belive in the existence of GOD than not.I dont have the blind faith to belive that everything with its inter depenedencies and perfection came into being with out a designer behind it.

JGN,
why you question the ability of God for supplying " abundant" wine water fruits etc? ( abundant women is an exageration from yourside..i dont know you did it deliberately as usual to disparage Islam or just included by mistake ...don't say 72 virgins are abundant etc etc )
Just tell me...can you tell how big is our universe? or how many starts or celestial objects are there in space? take any units..."light years to travel" for measuring the size of the universe...can you give me exact figure? at least no. of stars???
So if God could creat this much bigger universe, what will stop him from providing a paradise with abundant fruit, wine and water???
Besides whatever the fundamentals of applies sceince, sociology, economics, logic and intellectual thinking you are using to judge God...these are knoweldges have come to us by studying and experimenting the existing world around us...like we throw the stone in air and it come back to earth...we call it gravity...but if you go in space there is no gravity....so you can make use of gravitational force of earh within the influencial sphere of earth....in the same way...whatever knowledge of different subjects you have..it applies to us...human beings...but u can not judge God with this trivial knowledge...God is not like us human beings...his properties are different...
