RE:Is religion a stumbling block to progress??
by asad syed on Apr 10, 2008 01:30 AM

JGN,
why you question the ability of God for supplying " abundant" wine water fruits etc? ( abundant women is an exageration from yourside..i dont know you did it deliberately as usual to disparage Islam or just included by mistake ...don't say 72 virgins are abundant etc etc )
Just tell me...can you tell how big is our universe? or how many starts or celestial objects are there in space? take any units..."light years to travel" for measuring the size of the universe...can you give me exact figure? at least no. of stars???
So if God could creat this much bigger universe, what will stop him from providing a paradise with abundant fruit, wine and water???
Besides whatever the fundamentals of applies sceince, sociology, economics, logic and intellectual thinking you are using to judge God...these are knoweldges have come to us by studying and experimenting the existing world around us...like we throw the stone in air and it come back to earth...we call it gravity...but if you go in space there is no gravity....so you can make use of gravitational force of earh within the influencial sphere of earth....in the same way...whatever knowledge of different subjects you have..it applies to us...human beings...but u can not judge God with this trivial knowledge...God is not like us human beings...his properties are different...
