K,nataka TN water dispute
by Rajan Sodankur on Apr 03, 2008 06:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now shall we look forward to such idiotic dialogues of leaders from both sides "Don't breath the winds blowing from the other state", " Kannadigas in Bangalore, don't eat the chicken coming in dozens of mini trucks daily from Namakkal in TN","Boycott Mysore rasam in TN", "Ban Mysore sandal and agarbathis from poojas in TN"? There is no limit to which common men are made fools by these leaders and made to shed blood for their idiosyncracies.

after karus statement, its the people of chennai and otehr parts of TN who wil get affected as most of them work in Bangalore. and inspite of tehse bandh, if people travel, as neccessitated by their business engagements, who will give them protection if any untoward happens from kannadigas..similarly, many kannadigas work in chennai and have relatives based in chennai..who will take care of their lives if TN ppl pelt them with stones??? teh respective CMs of tehse two states never cross the border in their life time, as there is no need for them...i wish, tehy learn from the states of punjab, rajasthan, delhi, gujarat and MP who share many rivers between them and without any disputes..

Provocative statements by MK
by Rationalist on Apr 03, 2008 06:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

MK says he will go ahead with the project even if their bones are broken. Whose bones is he talking about? Obvioiusly not his.It shows he does'nt value bones of others and admitting openly. He cares a damn for others nerves. He's just provoking people and stirring emotions by giving such statements. He's not behaving like a responsible CM.

What else statement do you expect? Anytime when a dispute starts its people in Karnataka who start pelting stones at theatres running tami films, break buses from TN, black out tamil channels. Do you know how many Tamil people were dead during the 1991 cauvery riots. Does any one kannadiga was attacked in TN? How long do you want one side to be at the receiving end???

Don't forget he has been a poor filmy dialog writer and expolited MGR when it suited him, thrown him out when it did not, exploited political power to amass wealth for next hundred generations and has more water in his hyocratic eyes than Cauvery river to shed over the plight of gullible poor Tamilians who have swllowed his long abandoned Dravidian culture sleeping pills

Rajan, Just because you have fingers just dont type nonsense. Do you know his records in Flim? He made actors such as Shivaji Ganesan through his Dialogues.. How else can he react, if kannadigas keep acting like barking dogs that chase speeding cars without any reasons?

i really want to know the people who criticise tamils & MK - where they come from - which state...and rate them with their state ranking in india.. I am sure Tamils and Tamil Nadu rank in top 4 in any field...and Tamils are intellectuals, smart and hard working and elect their leaders for much better reasons than the ones come from Karnataka (see the assembly situation now) or UP or any other state in India..very few in India can (like Gujarat, delhi ) dare to talk about TN......

Karnataka-Tamilnadu cauvery water dispute
by Rajan Thimmannabhat Sodankur on Apr 03, 2008 06:11 PM  Permalink

Declare all natural resource and wealth like forests, rivers, minerals, flora and fauna, coastal resources which span across district and state boundaries as national wealth and appoint a separate commission to resolve the problems connected with their exploitation. Men should fight over and die on these issues because of man made political boundaries within the country is idiotic and dangerous for national integration. If it were the same old pre-independence Madras presidency comprising of present TN, Kerala, AP and Karnataka this water war would not have started. The states which were formed on the basis of langugaes are causing the headache due to the new political boundaries. Would Karnataka or TN play Gods to be able to control the rains, or floods or winds or tides or earthquakes or landslides limiting their influence only to their state boundaries? Put any fellow who provokes the society to fight over and get hurt on such issues without resolving them through a legal process should be immediately put behind bars, or the parties should be banned to avoid the spilling of innocent victims blood. Why can't the central government or the courts take pro-active steps to avoid such tragedies caused by provocative elements? Does the ability to mobilze crowds and cause public damage shield and exempt the provocator from the rule of Law?

no one cares
by veerapuram dharan on Apr 03, 2008 06:08 PM  Permalink

no politician cares abt the people of their own states..if karu threatens kannadigas to break the bones, hes not mentioning abt his bones, he hides behind the bones of the poor farmers of TN..sameway, for each and everything, y shd the kannadigas have hatred towards tamils???i know they are gentleman ppl, but wen it comes to dispute with TN, y always their BP rises??? the water dispute shd be seen as sharing water for daily use between two brothers of a family and not between enemies...as long as ppl realise this, junk ppl like narayana gowda, vattal nagaraj and some mischief politicians of TN play havoc with the sentiments of ppl...
