The so called 'Fatwa' issued by VHP is not in tune with the line of thinking of a true Hindu. A true Hindu does not take law into his own hands but leaves it to God to punish those who go astray. What the VHP leader said needs to be condemned. It is not in good taste and I am sure no true Hindu would subscribe to such views. Hindus are peace loving and believe in ahimsa. What has been suggested is barbaric and needs to be condemned. The statement in all probability will be used to brand all Hindus as barbaric. I would pray God to give those responsible for issuing the 'fatwa', satbuddhi. It is really very sad that VHP stoops to such levels.
What Karunanidhi has done is unpardonable and I have no doubt in my mind that he is bound to suffer the consequences. It is for God to punish him not we human beings in the way suggested by VHP leader.

Anant: First thing First, there is no such thing in Hinduism called "Fatwa". Fatwa in it's basic nature is arbaic and urdu.Hinduism is sanatan,vedic, Sanskrit and Devnagiri. The l99ngi writer at Rediff didnot have a clue what fatwa means, he being pseudo secularist applied to Hindus anyway. And there is no such thing as true Hindu. Either you are a hindu or you are not. You c99lies of south have this notion of mixed values. Not rest of the Hindus. Which god is going to punish Karunanidhi? He is a human being and he needs to be punished by Hindus. Those Hindus who will punish him will be protector of Hinduism and their ethos, you can go back to temple and pray for their well being. It's time to get back to all pesudo secularists and make their life miserable.

what if tomorrow the old man says that mr. anant padmanabhan has kept his name that of a hindu GOD, so he should be killed. what will u do, will u follow ahimsa then too. u might let them kill u, but what if they kill your family, will u follow ahimsa then too,. the truth wbout people like u is that u always cover your cowardice with the mask of ahimsa. first learn what hindu sriptures talks about ahimsa, whwn it whould be followed, and when it whould be substituted with a fight, like the mahabharatha war.

Padmanabhan, I am also against fatwa,but world became instanataneous,nobody waits until God punishes him..May be someway this fatwa is good nobody dares again publicly utter bad words against noble characters..But i say do not do anything to barber karuna .if anybody does it is scar to Hinduism

Unfortunately, ill-informed people are making it a religion vs development issue. The economic merits of the SS project are also questionable. MuKa wants it to further personal glory and establish clanish-rule. Baalu is a like a dog liking tasting meals from multiple-plates. He took up the Quadrilateral project from Khanduri of BJP and you know the fate now, he inaugurated several projects in TN before state elections to spite Jaya, and you know now that none of the projects are moving ahead. Even easy projects: the OMR-IT road project is still stuck years after it was launched, MRTS project, Chennai airport modernization, port modernization, Chennai has also not been added to the freight corridor connecting Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkatta....
When there are least controversial, economically sound, ecologically safe projects with high chance of success, where is the need to rake up controversies. It is because of typical politician attitude- nothing unique only to MuKa- to divert attention from failures.

Try to justify your name. There is maximum proof for near-past and as you go further away it is going to get murkier. And not every thing is black and white. Even for yesterday's rape-case we will spend years trying to prove. Because it is not only physical proof but circumstantial evidence which is hard to capture. We still are confused about ancestory of India- Indus valley, etc. that does not give the right to Europeans to say that they civilized us. Your logic is close to that.
Given the inefficiency of any govt organization, and political support to anti-hindus MuKa just knows that he can get away with it.
Well karuna is right if any one is having guts let them prove RAM existed scientifically nor historically.Why Hindus are getting angry on TN CM insted prove the issue to the world.

Well Sri.Prabhdasji, can you prove that God is existing, if your answer is yes, then Lord Sri Ram is also existing. Let Sri. Karunanidhi not engage in criticising Lord Sri Ram and hurt the feelings and sentiments of Indians and Hindus in particular. Instead he should engage in sincerely working for the benefit of thousands of poor people of Tamil Nadu.
