How many people revere the Sethu, and I mean before this whole episode ensued ? The Sethu served a purpose, and even if the one in question is indeed the one (which nobody seemed to care about before this), if its dredging solves a purpose, would not the Lord himself approve ? When did we get so blind in our faith, especially when faith is just a false proxy for whats really a political frenzy whipped up around a non-issue. The whole "does Ram exist" drama was unnecessary and both sides have made a mockery of faith - Ram exists in people's minds and hearts and if a simple affidavit can change that, we need to worry about our own faith. I'm a Hindu, and if the dredging's needed, its needed. I'd honestly be more concerned about any environmental impact of such activity and its consequence - the ecosystem there is probably unque and fragile. The ecology is as sacred and it impacts us way more. As far as faith goes, mine is not dependent on others' call about it.
Can I request all by Hindu fellows not to vote for congress and karunanidhi in their life... they are trying to eleminate hindus and we are keeping quite.. by luck we have the power to choose our government and before that is also gone to foreign ppl. can we stop voting for congres and karunanidhi?

Hi All eventhough i am catholic what i believe is that No matter what religion you belongs to , we must learn to understand that we WERE and ARE hindus first . Hinduism is our culture how can anyone deny one's culture . and yeah ramayana and all the hindu books not only belongs to hinduism but to the whole nation in the same way RAM belongs to india too .

Crusader, I have something to say to u.
Its this the new idea u are trying out. Does bible belongs to christianity?? Did jesus started ur churches who spread the perverted version of what he practiced..?
My dear, now a days, a) u convert people, but dont change their name mainly in TN, u know why, because it makes a cultural mix and favours more converts.
b) U use oil lamps made of brass in your chruches, it looks just as a traditional hindu ones, but with a cross
c) U name ur monastries as "Ashrams". It will make hindoos feel that there is no difference much.
d) U run schools/colleges/hospitals where u give discounts for getting converted and for those who work for conversion
e) U give ochre clothes to some priests, u conduct processions that resemble hindu costumes.
All these are for more conversions. Just a crooked tactics after studying the phsycology of innocent poor hindus.
U know that if u cant remove classical music, vedas, astrology, yoga, vastu etc in 400 years then it is there to stay.
But now u got a new idea, that is to claims that hindus were some pagans and we pagans now civilised and now worship jesus alone, all these vedas, classical music/dance, astrology, yoga, vastu, ayurveda etc are not hindus alone but we chritians too because we are converted from pagan hindoos.
A crusader crookedness knew no limit. The the only thing u people inheritted from west is croockedness.

Brahmins always criticize, condemn and mock at other religions Their criticism and mocking is unreasonable and unacceptable.
In his autobiography, Dr Charles , an American scholar says that it is very simple to define a Hindu. He says a Hindu means "one who believes in anything and everything if said in the name of god and shall never question its authenticity".
The Brahmins claim that Lord Rama is incarnated (came in human form) to study and understand the difficulties of mankind. Is it really necessary for a god to incarnate Himself?? CAn he not understand the creation? Why should God become a donkey or a cockroach in order to understand the sufferings of these creatures?

Vedanta has a rich tradition of rational thought, debate etc. and they mock other philosophical systems that are merely belief systems without any rational thought or believe in amassing numbers to show their might or legitimacy.
As regards believing anything: on the contrary traditionally everything was questioned and settled through a debate (which had precise rules and thoroughness that modern scientists cannot even dream of). Unfortunately, the spell of abrahamic religions destroyed that to an extent since they themselves are merely belief systems without any culture of civilized debate.
As for Shri Ram as incarnation, it would be good for you to provide the source of your information that He incarnates to study the difficulties of mankind -- this would be extremely stupid indeed. The reason for His incarnations are to re-establish dharma, punish the wicked, deliver the pious devotees and so that the devotees can taste the nectar of His lilas (Bhagavad Gita 4.7-4.9).
