Such an instance can only happen in 'secular' India. The Central government of a country, which has got a majority Hindu population, filing an affidavit stating that one of the most revered Hindu gods does not exist. Imagine the US or British government filing an affidavit stating that there is no proof for Jesus Christ's virgin birth or resurruction after crucifiction. The US, British and other Western countries also pride themselves in stating that they are democratic, secular countries. However, never in their history has any government ever come out openly questioning the religious beliefs of the majority community(in their case-Christianity).

I am telling from my heart, our country is more inclined toward the minorities than the majority Hindus. In any other country, they would not like to hurt the sentiments of any religion.
Our India is different though. It does not have any problems in questioning or even maligning any Hindu God's name.
Won't those perverts ruling India and the DMK goondas think anything beyond today or about their own petty and selfish interests?This Setu which is revered by millions of Hindus,which is mentioned in detail in our Ramayana,which has been preserved for many millinnea,which holds ecological significance is stubbornly poised to be destroyed.The future Indians,say 500 years from now, will hold INC,Sonia,Manmohan,DMK,Velu,Karunanidhi(a Hindu- hater with a Sanskrit name.He could have changed his name to Dravidamannan)responsible for destroying their heritage for small gains.They will be termed as the demons and the Italian demoness who controlled India in the early years of 21st century.Why this stubborness to destroy something?

Hindu devotees believe the area between India and Sri Lanka was built millions of years ago by Lord Ram, supported by an army of monkeys. But scientists and archaeologists say the bridge (or Ram Setu), is a natural formation of sand and stones.

Sethu Canal Project is utter waste of money. It is not going to help anyone . Comparing with Suez Canal or Singapore Straights only shows that people do not care to study maps. Ships, espically from Kolkatta would still prefer to use the longer route, because the fuel saving is really negligible.
Whatever Soniya has done is really commendable - Good Cop trying to save the (almost) ill-deeds of Bad Cop (UPA Govt).
I think they want to test waters and take Hindus for a ride (if possible).
Nobody needs a magic wand to understand what UPA Govt (and Congress in particular) are trying to do. Bring up the minorities and kill Hinduism by making people think that majority is for granted.
The media is completely sold off to UPA govt. Petty matters like a bhoot in a village are telecasted for 8-10 hrs but the Ram Setu issue - which has religious, sentimental issues involved and have the effect of eradicating history of Hinduism is completely ignored.
Where do we see constructive Journalism nowadays? You can see college drop-outs taking interviews - and are seen fumbling for words. Do these people are capable of covering news. NO - they're good only for snake charmer stories - for which anyway our country is famous abroad. Whereas the foreign media (responsible for showing India as a country of snake charmers) has matured and changed their vision of India - our own media has gone to DOGS. The least said the better.
