The period of Rama is beyond scope the of instruments ASI uses as evidance. So on its part ASI is true.
Let me draw an analogy here. Before invention of powerful radio telescopes, we did not knew about faraway Galaxies. It does not meant then that Galaxies never exist. They were, simply beyond reach of humans.

your correct. Unfortunately, the limitation of modern science is that, it is restricted by Measurements and problem with modern scientist is that, they are not ready believe on anything, that they can't measure !!
1.Has the ASI done enough archaelogical excavations to prove that Lord Ram did not exist ? 2.Has the ASI done enough analysis of ancient documents/scripts to prove that Lord Ram did not exist ?
You will never get evidence unless you genuinely look for it and look for it at the right places. this will require a big effort involving multiple departments , NGO's, political will ,funding , recruiting scholars and having good scientic equipments. without such an effort, any conclusion will just be a covert decision of the CPI/CPM politburo !

There are hundreds of proofs that Rama and Krishna existed throughout the country. One should open his eyes to see it. This govt is trying to change the very culture of the country for the sake of muslims and foreign threat. They are weak hence they are not able to withstand the pressures. Hence they are targetting the vulnerables. This reminds me of Auranzebs, Tuglaks, Babars who destroyed this country and the saga continues with congress..

I fail to understand whether we are living in Hindustan where even hindus and their gods are not respected. The same archeological department would have supported if there was any claim from muslims or christians even without any evidence. WHAT IS BJP DOING. IS THEIR CRY TO BUILD RAM TEMPLE IN AYODHYA IS JUST AN EYEWASH OR POLITICAL GIMMICK WHY THEY ARE KEEPING QUITE NOW.
ASI has turned mad. Either they are not hindus or they have gone crazy. They are saying that the Lord Rama is an character in the Ramayna which is merely an epic. Tell them whether they dont celebrtae Dusherra or Diwali. They are the first people to close their office being the holiday. They pray to Lord Rama for their well being. Now they are telling that Lord Rama does not exist. Send these people to Mental Hospital. They have gone mad.

Its not the ASI problem. ASI has excavated many things for example, sometime back, in Taj Mahal they excavated many things to prove its a Shiva Mandir and the Govt stopped them from continuing further and locked some rooms in the mahal for which the govt has not given entry to anyone. Now its the sonia govt which is asking ASI to tell this.
