I have also been saying that the situation in N-E is very disturbing. Influx of poor, illegal, and of different religion/belief in huge numbers over many years, has alienated the original and bonafide citizens of this country. The illegal influx also includes Jihadi elements, aided and supported by Pak's ISI, can do lot of harm to the society in N-E, and also in other parts of the country as well. The attack on Ms.Taslima, and the Hyderabad Bomb blast, and Masjid blast in Hyderabad are examples of this. The Govt in Bangladesh (other than the one headed by Mujeebur Rahman's daughter) are anti-nationals and therefore can't expect them to take actions on anti-Indian elements in Bangladesh. Like Pak, they also seem to cling on to power with the help of Jihadi elements/parties, with anti-Indian sentiments.
The GOI had not made any serious attempts to understand the core of the issue, to solve the problem. Instead the Congress and its Communits partners have been very happy receiving them, helping them to settle down, issue them ration cards, and make use of them to get votes in elections, and also to show that they are pro-minorities. Any suggestions from well meaning citizens, like me, in the only interest of the nation, to address to the real issue, is not liked by GOI including the press and they will be happy to project them as communal!. If we allow things to go on like this for some more years, the N-E will lose their originality, identity, and will be a mini B

continuation of above message: Bangladesh, with muslim dominated society, ruled by Taliban type of people in power, which might create bigger headache to India. It is a medium size problem, which is better to operate. I don't undersatnd why GOI wants it to grow like a cancer, and then wavering/hesitate to go for amputation at a later date?
Let us hope for the best, May God save this country.

dude first get ur facts right and then spare time on writing comments.....there is a difference between bengali("bangali") and bangladeshi !!!
It is one thing to criticize Congress and Left and something else to show the way without dividing the people. When it comes to attacking their opponents, the Leftists are unbeatable, but we all know their own policies suck. The BJP is vertically divided on economic policies. Their MPs from western and north-western states tend to be capitalists while those from Hindu states are Swadeshi leaning. As a well wisher, I hope to see the BJP split into two.
There was a very good article by Arun Shourie titled 'Right on Course'in IE a few years ago detailing the demographic chnages in the North East that could imperil the security of India. There is atelling chapter on this titled 'Changing Demography of South Asia in the new book titled Lies, lies and More Lies:The campaign to Defame Hindu/Indian Nationalism.(ISBN 0595435491)

Nothing threating in your Pakistan because you already cleaned up every non-Islamic.
There is nothing surprising in promotion of Muslim infiltration in North-East and elsewhere by Congress and Left governments. The politics of these parties revolves around promotion of Muslim vote bank at any cost this country might pay. There is no shortage of Jaichands. Most Indians, particularly the educated ones, shy away in telling or acknowledging this bitter truth in the name of 'secularism'. The day is not far when these indifferent Hindus will pay through their nose for electing these anti-nationals to power. The solution lies only in electing a government which can really tackle such problems. Hindus have to act as Hindus and not as Brahmins, Thakurs, Dalits, Backwards and so on. Such divisions only have been exploited by Congress and Left to pursue their narrow and extreme selfish interests. One wonders whether we require require a Pakistan when Congress and Left parties are around.
