This is a eye opening situation. People of Bangladesh cross the border for lively-hood. Pakistan is build for muislims empowerment as they don't get their among majority of Hindus. Now see muslims are comming back to Indian territories for jobs and lively-hood. According to Pakistan India is hindu, muslims are comming back to hindus, it should be hard to digest fect for Pakistanis? But I beleive the land is belongs to all people, but I oppose settlement of bangadeshi people in assam. ISI is clearly suppporting to these people and making them armed. I always fear of ideology encouraged by Pakistan and ISI is muslim only. I can't understand why they hate so much to hindus? People of land of Islam (arabians) are moderate but these lately follower ( pakistani ) are mad about it. If world polarize on the basis of Islam and non-Islam Pakistan should blame for this.
You are right, I had a good friend from Jordan, he was a moderate muslim. Arabs don't really treat Muslims from South Asia as real practsing muslims. In fact this Jordaian friend said that he had seen in the mosques in US, who he feels closely follow culture similar to Hindus. For e.g. he said that Indian muslims wear saris, not covering their head which he said was totally unislamic
Friends, by 2050 indian muslims will be equal in size almost 50:50. Our next generations are gonnna have tough time fighting them. They are cruel in nature and very good in fighting and slaughtering. So what way we are driving the indian growth to ?? Can all of us imagine how the Country will look like specially the 50 % of Hindus and 50 % of muslims. They will rule and hindus will not be allowed to worship the religion as well ... imagine ....

the author says assam is worried it will have a chief minsiter in next few years. the fact is india will have a mohamdan prime minsiter too as you observe. however, the most dangerous scenario is the one that usa is confronting in iran. if iran gives the usa the chills, imagine what an islamic india will do, and result in? i think usa and all g7 (plus russia and china) will bomb india into stoneage in those circumstances.

The Indian politics is rotten and coward we all know, so they wont be able to clean the shit in NE, I think its the turn of all the Indians, to clean the shit in NE by themselves. People themselves have to drive the aliens back to their home..

What credentials does Govinda/Raj Babbar/Mr. Shatrugun Sinha/Shabana Azmi/Vinod Khanna/Jaya Pradha have to be member of parliament or Rajya Sabha ?
We fail as citizens...Lets have our priorities straight...What happened when Bombay changed to Mumbai or Calcutta changed to KOLKOTA...Nothing to the common man...

People, media must play their role in a democracy. But they do NOT in India.
Hindus are disunited politically along caste, language. A great danger ahead.
In 20 years India will loose the entire north -east. Even now I dont think Indians are connected with north east. There are no people-people interactions. we will see few north east people in sports but in other fields they are not integrated in to the indian mainstream. The govt should take measures to bring them to the mainstream or else we will definitely loose the entire north-east.
i guess majority of indians would agree with me. we know so less about a part of our nation thats very beautiful.
our government is responsible for preventing people to people integration in the name of protecting north east culture and identity.
take the example of punjab. They are a minority still the whole nation dances on the beats of a punjabi song. I am still to dance on the songs from northeast.
I say, these cultures/ tribes do not need protection, but exposure to the rest of their country...where they will gain new respect and fan following.
its shocking to know that we Indians need permit to visit our own territory.

when the need of the hour is to homogenize the nation, our government is restricting movement of people by useless documentation.
In united states I can visit all corners of the country ( its 3 times bigger than India ) and i still do not need a permit.
this is no way to protect identity of indigenous nagas or manipuris. Rest of the country is deprived of the unique culture these people have. something we get to now only in text books.
we need to make express ways allowing fast movement of people across nation, we do not need separation.

It is the Job of the Parliament and the Central government to secure our borders.
The courts have no business in this.
Here are the steps we need to press for...
Define the Problem Pass a resolution Identify and approve a Budget Have the ARMY patrol the border. Fence it if necessary.
Lets see how much we can pressure our MPs to pass this resolution.

That is democracy...We do NOT live in a dictatorship...I know it is frustrating...But we need to start securing our borders and not spend time re-naming roads/universities/cities.
