By turning down the stretegic military alliance with USA, India would be doing a great favor to silent majority in USA ,who is sick and tired of war mentality and US waging wars one after another. Always thinking of war, nothing better to do.

Jehan Mir Are you affraid of Indo-US joint naval training? It is not military alliance. We have done that with your favorite country "CHINA" , Egypt, gulf nations all have gone through this training exercise. Once you "MUSLIM RADICALS" poke the US then you will be attacked. Thats the only language you people understand. Thats why none of the Arab nations have Democracy. All under one man or military rule. GOT IT .

That is the MUSLIM way. Speaking of Russians invaded poland, chez repupablic,Romania, problem with chechyna, Georgia chechyna,Georgia. CHINA invaded India in 1961 DID YOU FORGET THAT? So first of all learn history before you shoot thru your mouth.

The issue is making alliances, not waging a war individually against another country.

Every country makes alliances. China, Russia recently held similar joint excercise. Japan, Australia, Britain etc... all do. So, I do not see any point in being rigid for NOT making alliance. More importantly, we need to see what is good for our country. If an alliance is good, then do it. and you know what, every country feels insecure by slighest thing their neighbours do....otherwise why so much noise??

U.S is the most powerful nation on earth. No one can beat them. Whatever comes against them will not survive. Thats the history.
U.S is country blessed by God. Its the promised land for people all over the world.
Now islam has become their enemy. The downfall of islam has started from the day it attacked U.S.
I feel that a very dangerous situation has emerged here in the context of confusion on 123 agreement.
Look, firstly, the left even though claiming to be given the outside support, is a part of the government, as being part of the co-ordination meeting and having an insider's information and influence on the government functions. Still, they do not take the attached responsibility, and always oppose the government later on, inspite of all along supporting the government and having insider and details movements and intentions of the government.
Secondly, as Left plays both the part of government and the opposition, the real opposition has been rendered powerless, privledgeless and without any appeallate authority. The speaker further aggravates the problem as he doesn't lets them speak, or raise their voice, and the higher authority, namely the president is of no use. (Remember the recent Goa Assembly crisis). Thus, the complete parliamentary form of functioning is reduced to kind of a family-held business.
A new example of this is the recently formed committee of Govt-Left. Now, the opposition didn't had the say in the negotiations of 123 in the first place, then they were not allowed to raise their voice in parliament in form of discussion and voting, and now are not a part of the committee. Such insult of such important opposition is truly uncalled for.
I think the opposition should collectively resign from parliament, when there is no place for them in its functio

Who is that opposition party? Is it by Advani who cannot stick to his own statement. Made some comments in Pak on Jinnah and later U-turn. They are not constructive opposition part - their aim is to oppose everything till they come to power. Kick them out

Get into the habit of listening... what nirmal singh has said has 100% validity... The person only presented the fact sheet.. Real Opposition Party is NDA/BJP, not Left... Left is only agitator.. Left is part of the government, not outside the government... IT is the opposition JOB to have committee established in such a way that there voices are equally heard... what is that MM singh is saying that he is surprised at the opposition of BJP in nuclear deal? Please MM singh, you are much smarter than that... It is your cripped government, and its forces within that doesn't allow the participation of Opposition in this important foriegn policy issue... with 145 seats in Parliament, congress is not the voice of India.. This is a democracy.. Furthermore, it is not 50s 60s, and 70s, when it was a family run democracy...

Sahadevan is back with BANG!!!
Over the last two decades there has been a steep decline in orders for new nuclear reactors globally. Poor economics has been one of the driving forces behind this move away from nuclear power.
The civilian nuclear power industry has been in operation for over fifty years. During such a long period, it would be usual for technological improvements and experience to result in learning and subsequently enhancements in economic efficiency. However, the nuclear industry has not followed this pattern.
This independent report details the rising costs and delays of nuclear construction as well as problems the industry is experiencing with new reactor design
NDA was a good friend of Bush Administration at their reign. After the implementation of Globalisation, experiment of 6 years, NDA has fallen to deep well. Their 70 sitting MPs are now roaming here and there. Then next PM Manmohan Singh and Chidambaram started their reforms with 'Human Face' (truth is that there is no dog face even).
