theres so much of debate whether bombay is good or bad. the people who have been born and brought up in bombay swear by it, regardless of which religion , caste,etc... its only the peolple who have come here for work or for studies , who badmouth bombay. these are the people who utilize the good things of our city , then curse it and go back to their place. The original people who have been born there , and lived there, whatever may be their mothertongue, are the ones who miss bombay once they go outside. they yearn to come back. so all these guys who are blabbering rubbish , ..let them keep on barking , its only their inferiorty complex which makes upgrade their place by degrading bombay.
So outsiders contribution to Mumbai city is Nil and you are flag bearer of Mumbai, What a joke,Can you imagine what will be Mumbai without Maharashtrian,You guys still be rubbing Khaini in ono of the Govt offices of Mumbai,Dont forget its everyones contribution to bring up this city,We love more than what you pretend
No denying the fact that Mumbai spirit is robust, strong and great. This is inspite of tough life of a Mumbaikar.
To me Mumbai rocks not only in cricket( of course minus politicians) but also in Dahi Handi , Garba ,Ganesha festival ....very enchanting ,full of life & verve!!!
It is a melting pot of many cultures indeed with a good deal of flavour of Maratha culture. I salute Amchi Mumbai from core of my heart. Mumbai Tujhe Salam!!!
Really disappointing ! Not a single photo consists of the deities pictures, provided there are so many Krishna temples in Mumbai of which ISKCON Juhu is the foremost. There were grandest celebrations and kirtans going on there but rediff never bothered to visit the temple and get some nice pics of Radha-Krishna for its readers.
Only materialistic dahi handi pics are protrayed. Those who are playing the game might not have thought of Krishna even a single second the entire day. They were busy in winning the competitions. People have lost the significance of the advent of Lord Krishna.
No relevance of Krishna and Bhagvad Gita can be seen in these pics. This was not expected of rediff ! a real shame.

You are right in saying that world is becoming more materialistic today & rediff coverage is disappointing, but why r u blaming Govindas?
How can you say that those guys might not have thought of Krishna even a single second?
You may not be aware that they risk their live in this game, they begin this game by having Krishna's name in their mouth.
Now this activity of Human Pyramid is becoming popular in Europe too. Govindas from Mumbai already visited there & they are propagating the significance of Krishna in their way.
Let them do it in their way...Govinda Aa La re...Aala

I am sorry I didnt know that bcoz I am not from Mumbai. I felt they are some college students participating in some competition.
I apologise for any offense I committed to the devotees of Krishna knowingly or unknowingly.
