True Inner sight of our nation
by Cool Customer on Oct 25, 2007 11:49 PM  Permalink

A nation that is plighted by corruption deepdown and is mired by paranoia and a love for isolation has woken up again to the blackmail of a minority party that has no hope of deleivering any constructive milestones to the nation.

It is indeed unfortunate that the results of backing out could well be harsh. Whether the deal was good or bad is insignifcant now- because to add to that we have the woe of a miserable and unreliable political face that cannot be trusted with any major developmental agreements any more.

The trust is lost. The perference of isolation looms back as out face. What comes out is a choice of cowardice of fearing to deal with powerful nations. And this from the aspirations of a billion people to be powerful. How?

A nation can never grow isolated. Lefts politics of isolated foreign policy is a stink of Cold War plitics and has no relevance today. While we move aboutin Global economies they spin webs of 'imperialism'. Unbeleivable.

Another shocking revelation is that complex political acheivements are not understood and fail from popular support as rural masses do not comprehend the intricacies. I am no COng fan but indeed this deal was very well negotiated to have our cake and eat it. It would have put us on raod to prosperity. That the threats from US influence was possibel but not significant was well crafted in the agreements. That PMs' unprecedented transparency with this deal was not enough.
POlitics in India needs to rise....

Just because something is passed by US, India has to pass it? is that what this article is trying to say? what about the kyoto treaty that US singed decades back, that Bush broke as soon as he came to power? he said its not in our national interest anymore. in past it probably was... did they loose the image?
What a crap - slave mentality?

Slave of what? wake up from slumber that somehow the nation has become a economic powerhouse on its own. It has been made possible with engagement with powerful nations and not without.

US and India do not have the same credibility in the World. Both the nations have their own ways and tit a tat is tribal outlook. Kyoto harmed economic development of US and THATs why they dropped it. Why did we drop the deal? Foreign Policy? That is paranoia ...breaking the deal isnt goign to gurantee in less pressures on our isolation. It will now make it more difficlut to even gain confidence about our ingenius throium programs.

I completely agree with Leftists on 123 nuclear deal. Never trust USA. It is such a country, that once they sign a deal, they use every chance to blackmail by threatening they would stop nuclear fuel supply to India.
Already USA influenced India in voting against Iran. Already they stopped fuel supply to tarapur nuclear plant.
Instead, we shall invest that money on our scientists to develop indigenous thorium based nuclear reactors.
Our fate is that the opposition is coming from Leftists. Had it been came from Congress or BJP, we would have accepted it.

You go to darks if you are going to be with leftists. You need our IT guys to go to US or work for their projects and make India a super Software Hub in the world. When did we see companies like Infosys recognized around the world? What happened to India while we were with USSR? We went and begged US for PL 480 (wheat) at one time. Let me ask you one thing? Would you send your daughter or son to US if there is an opportunity? Do you know how many communist thugs send their daughter or sons to US? I know couple of them. Do you know why IT sector is booming? It is because there is no communist intervention. If you don%u2019t want to trust US and severe relation ship with them, our IT sector will come to a stand still. Your neighboring nations are waiting to grab the opportunity. Yes. When we have a deal, we may also loose some .Agreed. But we must see in its totality. Do not be misguided by leftists. They will hand over Arunachal Pradesh to China; sabotage India in not getting a role of a global player? They will not allow us to go ahead of the Chinese? Do you know how the communists behaved during our war with China? They were down playing the Chinese aggression. China, Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh are so happy to see that the deal is off. You want to support Iran. Remember at the end of the day, Pakistan and Iran is one and the same countries who will point nuclear missiles to India. If you put together everything, we are better of signing the deal than going to Stone Age. We

We want more nuclear plants to support our Power shortage if we need to maintain the double digit growth. Until recently, I was proud of MM Singh since he was responsible for the economical turn around under PVN. But now I am ashamed of this spineless PM. Let us pray for some one who can stand up to the communists (who disappeared for ever in Russia, Georgia etc) or let MM clear his mistakes and come back with a determination to finish this deal.

This is going to be another Bofors, if not carefully studied before signing. We don't have to go with US on all issues. If India can only become a global player by saluting USA then it is not required. It's always give and take. USA wants the cost effectiveness of Indian IT and Chinese goods in order itself to be competitive globally. Whatever technological progress done by India so far is thru the help of USSR/Russia, when USA has put lot of sacntions on India. Where is USA when we need super computer? Where is USA when we need satelites? All our progress in defense is because of Russia.

In diplomacy you do not trust anyone blindly. You have to see what is the best for your own nation. Many US Presidents & Chinese Communist Party Chiefs or Russian Presidents will go back on their word, not to loose their credibility but to save their nation if they feel the time has come to do so. They will keep personal image, vendetta or party politics aside and act. Let us not be foolhardy to do that which some power thirsty partners like the Communists prod you to do.These Communists speak all against US, send their children to US to learn & earn, wear Arrow shirts, go to Switzerland for medical treatment- not to China or Russia-and speak about India, Freedom of Speech, Secularism and all other isms as if all the wisdom is with them. They are a set of frustrated, educated and uneducated fools, all bunched together.

It is bad for India
by radhakrishnan on Oct 25, 2007 10:57 PM  Permalink

Other than the communist countries like China, India is the only country who respects the backward looking Communists. People from West Bengal and Kerala are behind these zealots and idiots. Their aim is to drive India back to stone-age and help China to dominate US and India. When Pakistan dreams to get an agreement like this, it is a shame that we throw this offer. If the same deal is offered by China, communists will speak differently. It is understandable that Communists behave this way. But what about BJP? What about TDP? It looks like Naidu lost his brain. He sends his Telugu code coolies to US but he is stabbing US and India at the back. Shame on him.

Inidia's image globally has been shattered. One side we portray as growing econimic power. And other side our politicians cant generate an agreement on a deal thats so imp. for growth. It really gonna hit foreign investment, technology coming to india. They will go to china. Already china is taking advantage of bad infrastructure in our country. All the best hospitals, schools of the world have chosen china and not india as their destination. This failure over nuclear deal will further make international fund run away from us and go to china.

The Conress party is not fickle minded party to listen to anyone. They will do what they think is right. all that can ensure power to them is right, be it selling the country to the Communist or to woo the Muslims for vote. As for Dr. Manhohan Singh, he has fallen at the feet of Mrs. Sonia gandhi on his swearing in as PM on say 15th May 2004=- please recollect his photo in The Times Of India on the frnt page touching the feet of his master- Mrs. Sonia Gandhi who propped him as the ceremonial PM as the proxy. What else do you expect from him ? Have you read his speech in Gujrat some 4 days ago ? He calls riots there as GENOCIDE . What about Kashmir ? All those who write about communal riots without having seen the scenes like what I have done have no right to talk about. Alas. This is our democracy-in the hands of Media and Congrss with Lalu Prasad & the Communists as partners. God bless us.
