I always look forward to writings from Mr Raman in any of the forumns, be it printed word or on the net. He has a great grasp on the subject and knows the innner workings of most of the intelligence agencies and terrorist outfits. He should, as he was a key man in RAW. I am fully agree with mathew , infact mullahas are interpreting quranic verses to uneducated, young and poor muslim youths in such a way to prepare them for prospected scocide bomber. No one such mullah is sending his own son to do so. The historical fact is that pakistan was formed on the basis of religion which was totally wrong , now the same religion is being used to destroy it . The division of bangladesh from pakistan has proved that culture is more important than religion. This we as a muslim and as a human being must understand. Pakistan should re-define its constitution based on secularisam and democracy. I opologise if some one's feeling are being hurt by my write up , i do not mean that all pakistanis are bad people are all muslim do not understand quran in a good way, good and bad people are every where in all communities and places, pl do not generalise it.
BJP, RSS, VHP and Shiva Sena would have never become strong in India, if Congress and other "secular" parties really followed secularism in its true spirit.
BJP came to power only because Congress practised communal politics and vote bank politics.
Already India lost Pakistan and Bangladesh to Muslims. How much more should this Hindu land lose?
Muslims and Christians are ruining this country thanks to vote bank politics practised by Congress and other pseudo-secular parties.

Just a small clarification my muslim friend; I have been to Pakistan several times and was in karachi last month. I was impressed how well the Hindu minority population has integrated so well with the majority muslims and the muslim state of Pakistan. Let me remind you that ALL the muslim rulers have plundered the country and converted innocent Hindus into Muslims; maybe your ancestors were Hindus who were converted to Muslims; any religion that dwells on forced comversions will NOT thrive well; I agree with Dheeraj that it is high time that muslims recognise the terrible policies of Congress and the Left Front;

The Muslims ruled India for about a thousand years. They had the power to forcibly convert each and every non-Muslim of India to Islam. Today more than 80% of the population of India is non-Muslim. All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness to the fact that Islam was not spread by the sword..
The Muslims were never in full control of India. Otherwise, they would have converted everyone.
The remaining 20% bear witness to the fact that these rulers spread Islam. What about the Muslims living in Pakistan and Bangladesh? Don't forget to include them in your calculation.

If the Option is to Convert to Islam or Kill, means then why are you still alive.. Option-1: Muslims ruled India for 1000 Years, if your assumption is true means, then all the 90 crore hindus should be dead or converted into Muslim. Option-2: If the Hindus were successful in retaliating Muslim Invaders and retained Hinduism, then why there was 1000 Years of Muslim Rule ?? Option-3: The last assumption is all the Hindus lived a Nomadic life and Hiding for the Muslims... This is also false... Go to any Indian City, you can see the Palace of Muslim Kings near to Hindu Settlements for Centuries..

BJP, RSS, Shivsena, Congress, or the communist, NO POLITICAL PARTY is as on today doing the 100% social service. All are into SELF Service and dividing the Indian to diff. cast and religion and harvesting the benefit out of that.
Regarding the MUGHALS and BRITISH/ PORTUGALS, they came into India. Took benefit of our nature of quarelling with each other. LOOOTED INDIA.

I m agree with rajiv because Christians & Hundus state of mind are almost same.both the relegion show lot of kind-ness,not cruel as Muslim Community.i feel they do n't convert other relegion into christans.There are lot of Christian Charity or missionary who believe in service of the people.one example is MOTHER Tressa who offered service whole life to the poor people of India.A poor or sick people probably do n't have any relegion.they are the people of GOD.
I am not a fan of BJP, but I feel that BJP is better than any other party, as far as the issues of secularism and communalism are concerned.
What did Congress party do during the last three years? Quota for OBC, quota for Muslims and also there is a talk of quota for Christians ... Does this help any one? It helps only Congress and nobody else.

Looks like Mr Varghese is very insecure about his own faith - What you might be saying is true & contrary to claims that islam was spread by forced conversions & the sword ,then India would have had much more than the 13% muslims it has now , becuase mughal did rule a long time over india - If you remember the spanish inquisition , muslims had ruled peacefully there for more than 800 years , & people of all faiths had lived very peacefully under their rule - but when the christians took over spain , they wiped out all the communities from spain.

You know why India is doin better b'coz it shuns extremism & terrorism while pakistan chose to take the path of extremism.Our Country was ruled by a secular & Nationalist parties which is responsible for making our Country Self Reliant.. If We indians also chose the path of Extremism & support terror based parties(RSS) like Pakistan did ,even we will become a Banana Republic like them.. Mata Amritanandamayi is a scheduled caste woman. All Hindus, including Brahmins, worship her and take her blessings. This is only a current day example. In the past too, several low caste people were worshipped by ALL Hindus. Lord Krishna was an OBC, as per today's OBC definition. Sage Vyasa was from a fisherman tribe. He too is considered equal to Lord Krishna. Sage Valmiki, who wrote Ramayana, was a dacoit and he would fall into Scheduled Tribe category.

Do we have true secularism now?
Secularism is absolutely non-existent in India.
Congress and others are hard-core communal parties.
There is something more important than secularism. That is the culture and heritage of this land (with all its imperfections). That is definitely more important than "secularism" or pseudo-secularism.
Let us have Uniform Civil Code and let everyone practise whatever religion they want? What more do other religions want?

I think you should know about Chinese Policy before commenting on it; I have visited China several times and am now in China; The Chinese Govt has always NOT allowed any muslim family to have more than 1 child and will even eliminate them if they deviate from their policies; I think muslims and also other communities are misusing the democratice set up of India and the freedom provided
