Looks like Mr Varghese is very insecure about his own faith - What you might be saying is true & contrary to claims that islam was spread by forced conversions & the sword ,then India would have had much more than the 13% muslims it has now , becuase mughal did rule a long time over india - If you remember the spanish inquisition , muslims had ruled peacefully there for more than 800 years , & people of all faiths had lived very peacefully under their rule - but when the christians took over spain , they wiped out all the communities from spain.
