You dont need to go far just go to Ghaziabad and Noida borders and you will find drivers of autos who donot have any signs of moustache appearing taking the foolish Indian police for ride.

Hmmm why dont you read todays and yesterday's times of india Bangalore edition. They carried out reports of road rash by BMTC ...the casulties are similir in numbers.. 97 kills made by BMTC so far this year..In Delhi at least buses obey RED signals...whereas in Bangalore, just check out at Yeshwantpur circle, Mekhri circle, Hebbal and many other places where signal jumping by BMTC Buses are common sight.

I have been living in Bangalore for last 9 years. BMTC road rash is very evident in lane (in)discipline, signla jumping, no care for smaller vehicles, the way they take turns. I face it everyday. Once my friends parked car was hit by a BMTC bus while his kid was inside. Early this year a Volvo bus lost control and killed couple of people in a bus stop near HAL.

we hav to c the welfare of whole country big thing is that delhi govt is like a puppet even though delhi does not enjoy the full priviledges of a state some of its agencies are controlled by central govt which is the cause of conflict there is no harm in running the bluelines lest there is discipline. Delhi cant run on DTC alone 1100 buses are given to schools and DTC obliges the NCR region by providing all its major fleet there nt in delhi city so delhities have no option to use blueline as mode of transport instead of fighting govt shud b pressurised to provide facilities to the common man after all fr wat purposes are taxes taken our country as on papers is a democracy but in working its like a gundaraj

Sudhansu your great lier in Bangalore there are 3 kinds of buses one is Volvo and another are normal buses. Volvo charge 25-30 agreed but they are 100 times better than DTC or Blueline. Normal buses charge maximum 10rs from any distance to any distance. No comparison between DTC or Blueline to BMTC.I have been to Gurgaon,Delhi and Bangalore but come and see once BMTC. I am sure you will be stunned

we has 2 blame police for takin bribe and leaving those killer drivers ....
Why should a bus go beyond 40 KMPH? Manufacturers can reduce the number of gears, or make any such changes - to make bus run at a maximum of 40 KMPH, rather than attaching some wiered instrument that can be removed at any time.
Mumbai has 2 times more buses than that of Delhi and managing double commuters than that of Delhi. Learn from them to put the system in framework of rules & regulations, rather giving it in the hand of non-sense private owners and drivers.

as per fact mr santosh officially delhi have more buses than combined strength of big 3 metros and management in mumbai is ok not that great, i lived in both cities and still in mumbai 2) number of people travelling in buses in delhi is more cause that is the main transport while in mumbai it is train and travelling in train is tough , if you know at all
Give Delhi public transport to sensible people like Tata or other industrial houses. They not only streamline everything, but also recruit only sensible educated drivers and conductors at a less cost. The city will be a better place to live.
But, the present Congress government will not let this happen because more than 40 busess are of Jagdish Tytler alone. These Blue LIne buses are owned by congressmen and high brass police officers. Whenever court pulls the string, the politicians withdrew buses for a day then change the public opinion.
The only, only, only solution is Corporatisation of the Bus Transport system. Give specific areas, routes to different corporate bidders. A start can be made by giving Mudrika routes to the Corporate/s. This will result in much better efficiency not only for the buses but for the capital as a whole. Increasing DTC fleet is another corrupt way to harass tax paying public. Haroon Yusuf is downright incomepetent but for reasons known to most of us will not be removed.

I agree, privatize these blue line buses, however there is another thing....those call center cabs that are plying on the roads are also creating havoc aren't they?
There has to be a way....give this department to Laloo Prasad Yadav, as him to turn it around like the railways :)
