This is the same prime minister who tried to bluster his way to get the deal. Sidelined all important political parties including his allies, BJP etc that were neccessary to pass this national deal. Its a deal between nations and not between the INC and the republican party. Contrast the approach of the normally high-falutin republican administration with its opponents on this opposed to that of Mr Singh. Had he agreed to an up and down parliamentary vote, this deal would have been passed. Instead now he is forced to eat crow. Not only on this but also on the important second tranche of reforms has this PM failed to deliver. For some claiming to initiate the first phase of reforms he surely didnt even try this time. He and his italian mami have been caught trying to bluster and that too by the pinko's. Not only on this but also on nepal he gave in to the pinko's. Unbelievable, this is the worst prime minister ever.

Instead of giving up he should have tried to get some points cleared from the deal and seek NDA's support to go through. But he has no courage of keeping his earlier stand. This is why I call him Woman Mohan Singh. He is good only to lick chappals of Sonia Maino.

You guys are also talking on the same lines as the LEFT parties. You are making this into an EGO issue and forgetting that the Nuclear Deal is an important one for the country. Has anyone looked at the positives that we will derive out of the deal? I am not saying that we must not safeguard the security of our country, but at the same time do not just reject a deal because you are in a position to topple the government. The power (read electricity) situation in the country is worsening day by day and the nuclear deal help us use nuclear power to solve the problem. In the greater interest of the nation, stop playing petty politics and allow the deal to go through.

In how many years from signing the 123 agreement will we get electricity does anyone knows here???
RE:Finally gives up
by Lost Indian on Oct 12, 2007 02:34 PM Permalink
No to built a nuclear site will take minimum 6 years provided you have already identified it with all the geological survey. The on the site will be reactors place so another 5 to 7 years to built the reactor and about 6 months to commercially produce the Electricity. Simultenously the govt has to start building the power grid to distribute the electricity. Till then the cost of Uranium and Plutonium will have reached a new high as China has started acquiring all the uranium mines in Africa and Eastern Europe so by the time we have the reactory producing the electricity the 123 agreement terms ends giving more force to USA to bind a new agreement to feed the giant we have brought from them. Common sense it more profitable to America than India, this same period can be used to develop our own capability give what our scientist demand and see the results. I am sure Indian will come up with a much better and cost effective solution.
I am with the PM who is showing courage of conviction and difficulties may be overcome through this. The country needs are many, Views may continue to differ. Our choice should be the best alternative for people of India. Left parties work with limited views as the have their base in differences in classes and catagories. They may not be able to amend themselves as long as their political needs sre served. But they will have to pay heavy price of elimination at some stge if they do not see the changing world of ours. Globe has shrunk, they should realise and put their best foot forward. May GOD(which they not believe in public) give them good sense.-Dr B K Jha
Congrats for advancing national interest without fearing reds and blacks. What Bajpai ji conceived ,Mr Singh has translated into action. Both are nationalists in true sense. Go ahead. India is with you. Few red are odds and not India. Move on for prosperity of India.

You don;t know Congress. It has nothing to do with national interest. Actually its name is Kag-race i.e. the race of Crows.
He runs the show without actively in politics which is the forte of his boss. The backtracking on his stand on nuclear deal after calling it in national interest shows that the charge against him of demeaning the position of PM & person with no backbone has a substance

Thnak God, we have a Pm who is more a economist and who thinks of his country. Thnak yOu Mr Manmohan sIngh. you are the best and the most visionary Pm we have till date. Hi sir, what fruit you are talking about? According to a shocking recent report, 836 million Indians live on a per capita income of less than Rs 20 per day. For 40 million Indians per capita income has improved only from Rs 9 per day to Rs 15 per day.Congress formed to struggle to eradicate imperialism from India. Manmohan Singh struggles to bring back imperialism in India. Ultimately he has surrenderd to left. I agree with you in few points. yes he is honest and knowledgeable person. but i think he is not democratic other wise he will listen to the majority of parliamentarians. so you can think politicians are useless but they understand the pulse of the people that is the reason they have been elected by the people of India. our pm (who has never won a election) may be loved by few urban rich elite but never become a mass leader.

Left is Right on this issue of Nuclear Deal. China-Pak are not worried about this deal at all. They will do whatever they like and USA will approve. China is already made a contract to supply 6 nuclear plants to Pak. There is no need for PAK to sign any Deal with USA. However, Manmohan is saying India must sign otherwise earth will fall on India. Get rid of Manmohan, he is an agent of USA.

Who cares this man ( so called PM ). Neither the congress party ( Pranab da is more trusted man of Sonia). opposition or even a common man of this country knows his authority in the government. this is very unfortunate that he has become an rubber stamp of sonia and loosing his identity as economist.
