Nehru-Khan-Gandhi Dynasty: Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister of modern India, and he ruled the country from 1947 to 1964. He was born on 14th November 1889, to Motilal and Swarup Rani Nehru. The family belonged to a Kashmiri Brahmin tribe called %u2018Pandit.%u2019 Indira Gandhi, daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, became prime minister of India in 1966. Mrs. Gandhi was born on November 19, 1917 to Jawaharlal and Kamala Nehru. She was named Indira Priyadarshini Nehru. She fell in love and decided to marry Feroze Khan, a family friend. Feroze Khan%u2019s father, Nawab Khan, was a Muslim, and mother was a Persian Muslim. If Indira Nehru were to marry a Muslim she would loose the possibility of becoming the heir to the future Nehru dynasty. At this juncture, according to one story, Mahatma Gandhi intervened and adopted Feroze Khan, gave him his last name (family name/caste name) and got the name of Feroz Khan changed to Feroz Gandhi by an affidavit in England. Thus, Feroze Khan became Feroze Gandhi. Though Mahatma belonged to Bania/Gandhi caste (a business tribe) the proposal was acceptable to Nehru for political reasons. Early life Feroze Gandhi was born "Feroze Gandhy" [1][2][3] into a Parsi family [4] and was educated at the City Anglo-Vernacular High School and Ewing Christian College, followed by the London School of Economics. He abandoned his studies in 1930 to join the struggle for Indian independence.
Feroze grew close to the Nehru family, especially Indira's mother Kamala Nehru and Indira herself. Feroze helped nurse the ailing Kamala, and briefly traveled with Nehru, Kamala and Indira to Europe. Even before Kamala's death, Indira and Feroze had begun falling in love. There is some evidence (see Reference book) that Kamala herself opposed the match, and Nehru was also known to be personally averse to Feroze[5][6]. Indira and Feroze grew more close to each other in England. They married in 1942, after Feroze Khan altered his surname to adhere more closely to the leader of nationalistic sentiment of the time(Gandhi).[7]
Arrested and jailed during the Quit India Movement less than six months after their marriage, he was imprisoned for a year in Allahabad's Naini Central Prison. Indira was also imprisoned. In 1944, she gave birth to Rajiv Gandhi, a future Prime Minister. In 1946, Sanjay Gandhi, was born. Indira and Feroze settled in Allahabad with their two young children, and Feroze became editor of The National Herald, a newspaper founded by his father-in-law.

False: Feroze Khan was born in a Muslim family, got involved with Indira, asked some Parsi company to send him its London office, where he used to work and meet Indira and got married. He never went to London School of Economics. However, because he was a Muslim, he has changed his name to Gandhi and remarried Indira according to Hindu custom.
We must look back into history to understand the Gandhi Nehru Nexus. During the Lokmanya Tilak era(Who deserves to be addressed as The Father of the Nation as it was his statement -Freedom is my birth right and Mr. M.K.Gandhi did not approve of it during is initial emenrgence in Indian Politics) the reported figures of deaths, losses etc in Hindu Muslim riots were far less than that of during Gandhian era. The first communal riots took place in 1893. this was followed by a long period of communal peace till 1929 and after that in 9 (till 1938 years there were 8 riots in Bombay killing 550 people and injuring 4500. Hindus and Muslims were engaged in actual warfare for 210 days. Secondly to our surprise which is official, Congress collected the funds for the upliftment of untouchables to the magnitude of Rs. 13019415, 15 annas and 7 paisas by 1923 in the name of TILAK MEMORIAL SWARAJ FUND for implementing Gandhi policies. Out of this Rs. 4950000 was spent for carrying Bardoli program and Rs. 200000 had been marked for amelioration of untouchables. The amount actually appropriated was only Rs. 43181. The breakup of this is also present in the record. The congress collects Rs. 13 million, spends just Rs. 43181 for untouchables. This picture is not so different from the present mental status of congressians.The huge sum of 2.6 million was alloted to Gujrat without appropriation of any purpose. So what are the Gandhian Policies? Even UNO is BLIND DEAF AND DUMB.
It is shocking to say the least. The maount of hatred that has been spewed in the comments below is simply SHOCKING. Sonia Gandhi is as much Indian as any one of us. And how are these people commenting on partition? If Hindus were killed during that time, so were Muslims and till today they are being persecuted in India. I am neither Muslim nor Hindu and thank God for that! Has anyone of you ever done anything to spread the message of love and peace and think beyond your pseudo-patriotism? None of you will even help your neighbour, forget saving your country. Let me assure you, I am neither a Gandhian nor do I like the congress, but the BJP and its likes are worse for India. Do try and go beyond your religion to see how our pople really suffer. Try organising a programme where you give at least half of your money to charity and then, maybe, your hatred for your fellow beings will come down. Try doing something for your country or just your neighbour before you start questioning the decisions made by our former leaders. If you think you can do a better job, then get up and do it. Don't just stand aorund like we do in India during an accident or a fight "to watch the fun" and "criticise". Do soemthing and if oyu cannot spread positive ideology and the word of love, try, at least try, not to spread hatred.

When reading history books, I could never understand why an Indian who in connivance with britishers screwed fellow Indians. When reading posts like yours, I can believe that such people existed. I dare you to go file a PIL saying that it is a misrepresentation of facts that Sonia Gandhi goes about claiming that she is an Indian and that she should be restricted from doing the same.
If you win, not only will I never again call her an Indian, but make every conceivable effort to propagate that fact throughout the length and breadth of this country.
But if you cannot, dont waste your breath (even the hot air) with grand statement like "NEVER DARE TO SAY SONIA IS A INDIAN"?

Your attempts of eastbalishing moral equivallency between sonia and Indians, between hindus and moslems during paritions are laughble. Sonia is not just another Indian - that is an insult to Indians. India is not a dowry given to Sonia for marrying into nehru dynasty who consider it their birth right to rule over Indians. Partition was created to create Islamic nation, not Hindu nation. Violence was forced to demand partition and purge hindus from partitioned India. It is a cruel joke to equate hindu self-defence with Islamic aggression. If you are really full of positive ideology, word of love and charity as you preach to others - than kindly try extending the same to BJP, hindus, religion of hindus, people who reject Gandhism, people who disagree with you, rather than subjecting them to hatred and calling them names. So start practicing what you preach to Hindus. Talk is cheap.
