Prof R K Gupta-India, Professor, you live in a free nation (it is still not the fatherland that the RSS wants to make it to be). You can change your name to RK Gandhi, nobody objects. Then if you manage to become the president of the ruling party you can go and speak in UN. No one is going to question your intellect, or whether you deserve to speak there.
This is called democracy, which you seem to dislike. In this our democracy, you can get your name changed to Mark Twain, Bill Clinton, Jesus Christ, Stalin, or even Montezuma, and what have you.
You want to have a system, in which, changing one's name should be made a criminal offense because you wish so. then you should have some kind of Nazi-type system, of course you on the right side of the fence, in a position to influence the dictators.

Moreso, Arun Gandhi has mentioned in his statement "We all utter empty platitudes to the Father of the Nation since none of us really follows his ideals and principles". If he, himself, were a follower of Mahatma Gandhi and a man following and implementing Gandhian principles, then why has he stopped short of including many congressmen? Is he planning to join the congress - by not mentioning congressmen?

Prof. Gupta, I agree with you largely. These "Gandhis" try to make their the most of their life from this dynastic link. Only one thing sticks in mind -which party is good for India. Are they not same kind of "Humans" in every party. Is there really some difference between these parties. Is selfishness, favouritism, corruption, goondagardi, not the common thread that binds all perties.I beleive it is.
A particular class in India, especially the ill-educated and rabidly racial, have always been in a combative mode with the deprived of this country. These people are hypocrite and their deeds are not what they speak. In order to spread their hatred they are now riding this new vehicle of biased media. But they will be isolated and ultimately wiped off the scene in days to come! They know their fate, so they are kicking the ground.
Why India could not find a single Indian among more than 110 crore people who have only India in their heart to represent India in U.N. and send only an Italian who has not only retained her Italian citizenship but also got Italian citizenship for her kids and as well as planning to settle in Italy at the time of Bofors crisis
