Advantage for BJP: .....................Shashi
by shashi kiran on Oct 09, 2007 08:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think, if BJP join JD-S to form government, there is no difference between them. They will loose their values.
BJP should not act like JDS.
BJP should maintain their dignity, as it arises from RSS. It should not forget RSS value.

People (read so called secural Hindus) who start jumping after hearing the name "RSS" are not aware of RSS ... they are only aware of what ... congress / left / muslims have told them what RSS is . It is only because RSS do not tell / advertise the general public ... about their history ,,, what they stand for and what are their principals ... their principal is Hindua can not be treated as second grade citizens in their own country

RSS does not talk about diving India. They talk about how Hindus, Muslims and christians share common heritage and how one needs to be proud of it without rewriting secular cooked up history. RSS talks about Indians deriving common ethos from Indias past and not from Rome or the desert. If someone is really indian at heart these things would sound logical and clear... otherwise this would look like hatred.

Now stop that lie by parroting what bunch of crooks say about RSS

The i agree with you VH. the RSS is the single most, largest well organised force in India and has done tremendous work for social causes.there work goes unnoticed because they are unsung heroes and they dont advertise for their good work.
But anyway the question is not about RSS, it is about stupid Deve gouda (sleepy pig)who is a ditcher and is very power hungry.
I believe the people of karnataka should throw him out of power for ever. he also against development and IT. which is really sad.

You people will never be united unless you shed Caste system. Think how many gods you have, Ram, Vishnu,Shiva, Lakshmi,Parvathi, Saraswathi, Ganesh, Murugan, Brahma, Devendra, Yamadharmaraja etc., etc., Each one following his own god and fighting inbetween. We have Allah as one and Jesus as one for christians. First come out of caste system and be united

Ram is an avtar of Vishnu,Shiva is one of the trinity Gods( Brahma (create)., Vishnu, (sustains), Shiva (destroys)., Lakshmi is the wife of Vishnu, Parvati is the wife of Shiva, Saraswati is the wife of Bramha, Ganesh is son of Parvati& Shiva, Murugan is son of shiva, Devendra is the God of all earthly gods, Yamadharmaraja is the God of death., Why I mentioned all the above is all are interrelated and there is no fighting happening in between as a Policy. If you have Allah as One Jesus as One it does not make you superior or inferior since you are seeing thru' the prisms of your narrow outlook., What is the need of coming out of the caste system since you yourselves have got several divisions between you yourself.
(tribes, clans, castes, gotras, groups etc., have come to existence because of the groupings in society. For eg., you study the history of NWFP, Afghanistan etc., where different clans rule the society irrespective of prayer to One Single Allah.

Alliances to be signed in front of Governor
by siva kumar on Oct 09, 2007 08:18 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This type of mockery of democracy, betrayal etc,. or repeated by these politicians over a period of time, Because they dont care about the wasteful expenditure incurred in conducting elections which otherwise could be used for some developmental project.
This problem mainsly arises when people give fractured verdict in some states repeatedly as in the case Goa and we see a drama and change of Govt every after three months.
A solution to end this menace of shameless and unpatriotic act of criminal politicians is that any agreement of support and alliance should be signed in the presence of Governor, and supporting party and MLAs/MPs should give an undertaking that the they will support the govt for a full term.Violators of such agreement should be permanently disqualified from contesting any more elections.
As of now no party will like to bring in such legislation because Cong itself did this act in the case Charan Singh and Chandrasekar at the centre.

I think BJP has lost a little bit sympathy with hobnobbing with father-son duo after their betrayal and lost a big elections talking point.

Even now, they should be able to go after JD(s) and Congress for bringing a new elections. They also can take credit for being fairer player as they waited for real power even being of the largest party.

Telugus will be split between the BJP and Congress. Tamils will vote JDS or congress except the Brahmins(Iyers/Iyengars) who will go with the BJP(80%) or Congress (15%).

Lingayats will not let Yediyurappa and the BJP down. Bunts and Konkanis might also go with the BJP.

North Indians will go with the BJP.

BJP if they are united and smart can win this. Arun Jaitley types will be needed to manage for victory.

by on Oct 09, 2007 07:30 AM  Permalink

I guess we should congratulate the president for his action! How stupid is it to try to form government with the same party that just put the state on a limbo?
Whoever president was aligned with is immaterial. Look at the facts people, 10 months from now, you would have seen another drama and valuable time lost in making up relationships! This is so much better. Let Kumaraswamy and Yediyourappa work out their differences and disappear to nowhere. Please God, save my Karnataka!!!

BJP - You disappoint me
by on Oct 09, 2007 07:26 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I used to be a fan of BJP and thought they had good plans for India. Not that I had a lot to choose from, but BJP was better than the rest. Yediyurappa is the biggest loser of this century! He is nothing more than a prostitute willing to sell himself to anyone to become the chief minister. I do not think he could ever explain how he joined forces with JDS 20 months ago and why he was in a hurry to work things out now. How can two parties with completely different idiologies join forces to form a goverment. Yes, election is expensive. But, this drama is lot more expensive and affects every citizen.
BJP forgot the fact that they aligned with Hindus and won power. They forgot the fact that they were after majority of people and not blindly after minorities. I do not know which one is right, but not having long term vision definitely isn't right. When the time was right and minorities have started realising that Congress and JDS are only after their vote and not interests, BJP stands nowhere. Why would any true Hindu vote for BJP? Not that other minorities have good reason to vote for other parties, but at least they have not changed their stance every now and then (at least Congress hasn't!).
God save kannadigas! Sirigannadam Gelge!

Interesting... you hold BJP to such a high benchmark, that they have to get out of this country and contest in some civilized world? Dont you realize BJP has to fight for the same vote from jokers that vote Congress or JDU? How will they ever be able to win these jokers if they keep playing fair game all the time? Its like the game being played with Islamic terrorists...you can't win them by playing fair.. America realized it soon!!

Congress Won the Race.....

I feel tht congress has influenced the governor to disolve the house when it was all confirmed tht BJP candidate is likely to become CM.

If you remember rameshwar thakur(governor) is a candidate brought by UPA and they played thr card.

Now with PREZ rule it is as good as Congress candidate has become the CM.

So Indirectly it is Congress who won the race

The test of majority has to be on the floor of the house and not in the Raj Bhavan. The Governor should look at all options.

The question is purely hypotheical now, but, would the Governor have recommended Presidents rule if it was the Congress that would have been the affected party? The hypothetical answer would be a total NO!

Of course, it is a democracy and you are free to have your opinion.

I like BJP but they had disappointed me every now and then, why do they have to forge alliance with all these people like JD-S and BSP in UP, I see BJP as a party of educated people with little bit of concerns to India and in my opinion they dont play caste system and all other parties call themselves secular but I dont think so.
BJP maintain the standard and go all alone or some worty parties, not like BSP, JD-s etc. This latest episode leave a very bad taste of politicians, there was an agreement between BJP and JD-s, but thats not respected , phewwww

Remember what happened in Bihar in 2005. Eventhough, BJP-JD (S) combine had the clear majority in the assembly, the Governor recommended dissolution and Prez Abdul Kalam was pressured by UPA Congress govt to recommend dissolution. The UPA did this because Lalu threatened to pull the central govt down if he does not get his way. And look what happened a few months later. In November 2005, BJP-JD-(S) combine won even a bigger majority and Mr. Nitish Kumar became the CM. I believe the history is repeating itself since Congress is again dissolving the state assembly because they cannot form the government and therefore I think BJP will increase its number of seats.

I think in a country like India, its very bad to blame common man for making right decision, if that would have been the case we would have been totally different. Because common man is not able to see anything beyond their village/local leaders and what they tell them, its that the top leaders has to change. they must think as an able guardian to public, like an illitrate parents always wants their children to be educated, so that should be the approach not like let the common man be common man forever. I dont know its pretty hard for any non-muscle power guy to break in Indian politics, but I hope some parties like BJP would do better compared to others.
