Classical example of a facist in action. Hitler and Goebbels did for German against Jews and here is BJP doing this in its own way. The same group which killed Gandhi for being secular is now taking shelter at Gandhi. Shame on you to talk about Gandhi. Gandhi never said, "Hey Ram" after being shot and it is this same group which dramaticized that event. Rajnath is now hailing Aurangazeb and Clive for not criticing and who knows they may become RSS heroes.
People should understand the relevance of religion in politics. Faith and history can never go together. When there can be opinions on existance of god, why cant there be a opposing view. When those believing in god can so proudly hail ram and talk about it, why cant there be a counter view. If Hinduism is all about way of life as it is claimed to be, why such importance to epics and its heroes. When there is hatred and intolerance, I am not sure what our religion has done to civilize us all these days.

Fine have a contrarian view but you dont have to be vocal and go out questioning the existence of God. Justify karunanidhi saying which engineering college did ram studied in and can monkeys build bridges.....does any one have the balls to question allah or jesus....just because hindus are divided all and sundry have taken them for granted.
Stop living live with reservations to back at all and you will know where do you stand.

I have been Rajghat and have seen that. It is not Gandhi who sculptured that and again it was dramaticized by these facist forces.
When you are vocal about existance of god, why cannot there be someone who is vocal in opposing that. I am not an atheist Hindu but still fell that there should be such counter views for a healthy religion.
Being a Hindu, Karuna can criticise Hinduism and not other religion. He has every right to criticise the religion/caste which comes with his birth.

"Gandhi did not say 'Hey Ram". In fact, he did not utter any word when the bullets fired from Nathuram Godse's pistol pierced his chest," Bapu's personal assistant Venkita Kalyanam who claims to be a witness to the horrific event told a news conference here today.
Kalyanam said he was just behind the Mahatma when he was shot dead in the Teen Murti area of New Delhi on January 30, 1948.
The 83-year-old Kalyanam, who hails from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu, said politics in post-Independent India had taken an entirely different turn from what the Mahatma could have wished.

Agarwal.....thanks to people like Karunanidhi in a free country like India we can have a contratian view AND be vocal about it. Its our right. First of all, I m not a Brahmin. Now My question is who generally harras Dalits? 100yrs back, yes mostly those were brahmins but today?? In Andhra, Reddy, In Maharashtra,mostly marathas, In North, Mostly thakurs. Last year, In maharashtra, a dalit family was killed in small villege, khairlanji.Not a single brahmin was involved in that. But u see/listen any of Dalit or all non brahmin leaders, they will attack only on brahmin cast for castism. In today's scenario,Brahmins don't have political presence much. If u consider, whole India, percentage wise they are lesser in goverment jobs. So how come this cast can influence/dominence on others?
See, in the society, castism exists. The non brahmin leaders take benefit from it if something wrong happens then they always blame Brahmins. About Dalit leaders, its a life long opportunity. Just attack on brahmin cast and control dalit votes and enjoy Kursi/ministership.
and poor dalits,they continue to live in slums and gets cheated/harrassed from some non brahmin dominent cast

varghese, many christians still use caste (eg: syrian christians).. banning caste is not realistic.. instead ban reservation based on caste, and have it based on economic criteria

Muslims came and forcefully tried to convert Hindu India!At max they could convert 5% of population that too forcefully!Remembers Dalits were poorer than today!Still they continued their beleif/religion.Then came Christian missinories...in alliance with East India co and later British govt,looted this country for 200yrs and poured money like anything to convert Hindu India!! At best,they could convert few tribal pockets..that too pouring so much money!! Now see these people like Varghese...claiming and adoring Missionaries!!! Tell me if Christians are better off today even after they were converted some 100-150yrs ago??? No..simply they got free bread and wine for few initial years!!After that nothing..must have given back Church 1000times back donation!! So please stop talking shit Mr.Verghese..your words might make tribals and Poors! Religion has nothing to do with economics...stop balming Hindu religion for the plight of Dalits... Africans were converted and made slave for western households!!Please justify why Church/Christianity is not responsible for that!!!

Good point...but still Brahmins are the root cause of the illtreatment of Dalits. If not for generations of segregation and discrimination of SC and ST in India by the Brahmins through their vedas they wouldn't be in the state today. For 1000s of years, they kept education out of these innocents and violated almost all ethics of human rights. Today educated urban brahmins may be innocent but still in most villages the so called low class caste individuals are left with no option except to do the family work (the work the caste was supposed to do according to the vedas!!). That is cobblers child becomes a cobbler, a scavenger's kid becomes a scavenger a tribal continues to be a tribal.

Branhims stopped Dalits to get educated!!Firstly which education you are talking about!They didnot have schooling system like today wherein you pass out and then apply for jobs!! In those days education didnot ensure somebody the Job.Job was entirely different thing that education. Brahmins whom you blame that didnot educated people...i am asking you what they got themselves with education?In all periods besides few Brahmins who were ministers in the court of Kings were themselves poorer than Dalits!!!Dalits had jobs to do at least..Brahmins were beggers!!!!Isnot it? But overall it was work oriented society wherein no job was considered lowly!Not even begging!Would you like to beg to run some school today?? All Casts were divided as per the jobs available to the society and indeed we didnot have problems of unemployment in Ancient Hindu society because of non-education. Vaishyas...even didnot go to school and educated and they have always remained rich section..(Richer than Brahmins) So get out of political mindset taught by Congress and parties after independence just to get concentrated votes from Dalits! Even after 60yrs of independence what education and social upliftment we have given to Dalits?? Visit rural india and you will have true picture! Instead if govt of india would have put efforts to development of small scale villege industries ..Dalits would have been better off! Learn from china!! Becaz it'll explains the situations what made him to kill Gandhi am not saying that Killing Gandhi is Correct but i am just asking Why Congress GOvt not having dare to face that Stage show becuz it's true and its getting popularity day by day.

You are contradicting mister! If you believe the stage show is true...then you believe killing Gandhi is correct. Make up your mind.
The BJP is officially a joke now. Their arguements make absolutely no sense and have resorted to petty name-calling and personal attacks. While Gandhi was a follower of Lord Ram his philosophy, teachings and ideology were independent of any one religion. You can be an Atheist, Hindu, Buddhist or Muslim and still believe in Gandhian values. Secondly the Gandhi surname has nothing to do with Mahatma Gandhi himself. Sonia Gandhi and her children have taken the surname of Rajiv Gandhi who got it from his father Feroz Gandhi who was certainly not related to Mahatma Gandhi. If my surname is Singh does it mean I have to believe in Bhagat Singh's philosophy and if I dont I'll have to reject the Singh? The BJP finding itself politically marginalisd is making a brouhaha out of a non-issue. They probably hoping to incense people and have a few riots here and there so they can capitalise on it. Hope peole have better sense than to oblige this silly, bigoted party.

For your information..Rajiv's father and Indira's husband had original name as Firoz Khan..not Gandhi!!!His Father and cousins still carry the name of Khan!Firoz khan was a son of Muslim father and Parasi mother(Gandhi)..When Indira met and married him in London(she converted to Islam before that)..it was not acceptable to Pandit Neharu...after much discussions and persuations...Firoz was forced to drop his surname Khan and instead took up her mother side's surname..Gandhi!! This info is just to share..i dont have any motive to say that it was wrong or right!

You are right about the beliefs part of it, but would like to correct you on the Gandhi surname piece of it. Feroz did get the surname 'Gandhi' because Mahatma Gandhi adopted him as his son since Nehru was unwilling to let Indira marry some unknown Mr.X which Feroz was at that time (it was a love marriage, much against the wishes of Nehru himself but he had to accept since Mahatma Gandhi intervened).
I am not trying to defend BJP here, because even I don't like the crap they are resorting to right now. Just sharing a piece of history that I have come to know. No controversial news from Nehru-Gandhi family will ever be part of history books:), so there is just a miniscule chance of people getting to know the same.
Hey Rajnath, How do u think that they will remove Gandhi surname from their names that is the only one which giving Votes to them, AND you know 1 thing Gandhi was in thought to remove the Congress Party itself before his death, Because it's a party established for fight againast Britishers for Freedom and it's not a good manner that it should be there for ever even after getting freedom, This Gandhi Family (of course Not a actual Gandhi's ) keep it with them to get popularity and of course for Power to Rule India.

Well the politics of Congress is to appease muslims, SC/ST and divide all people to stand against imaginary higher class, this ensures a good vote bank.....never say anything against Hindus but attack BJP saying it to be communal and the irony is so called educated hindus think congress is right, and vote for it so effectively congress policy is get all the sure vote bank and part of hindu votes and you stay in power.
Congress has all along taken hindus for granted. Why the delhi govt is selling onions to muslims at subsidised rate and why not to all common man....why the govt only provides haj subsidy and no subsidy for mansarover visit to hindus???????
If Hindus dont stand up united and throw out all doing all this dirty politics then we are bound to be doomed. Let BJP be as bad as it can be but to teach a lesson to these buggers give a 2/3rd majority to BJP for once.
Congress has divided the rajasthan people in the middle by asking for gujjar reservation and have them as vote bank now....god save this country
