Dangerous signals
by ram vikas on Oct 01, 2007 01:01 PM  Permalink

The intervention of court in every matter has its toll. This was bound to happen some time or later but this even is also precussor of dangerous signals. The contempt of court in this case cannot be questioned but the larger point is can a government itself take its citizens for ride? After 60 years of democracy have we been successful in sanitising institution of governance from individual charisma and whims? What if tomorrow the military head thinks differently and disobeys the democratic structure of India?

I think it is time to act. An example should be set so that this kind of totalitarian motives are nipped in the budding stage. It is also time to look into structure and processes of our democratic system. There is so much of court's intervention that it has lost its potency. "Chalta hai" attitude has transcended everything.

The civic institutions have failed. The citizens of this country has lost hope. However, it is better late than never. The citizens of this country should rise above caste, religion and region and teach defaulters of democracy by shunning all these political parties.

It is also for the designers of the contitution to develop a layer between government and political party and subsequently between political party and individual. In this case the Tamil Nadu government has become DMK government oe Karunanidhi government. This is a dangerous situation. India is neither Cuba nor Germany of 1940's.

SUPREME COURT IS RIGHT
by sriram rajagopal on Oct 01, 2007 12:59 PM  Permalink

MR.KARUNANIDHI HAS DELIBERATELY DISOBEYED SUPREME COURT'S ORDERS AND IF NO ACTION IS TAKEN
AGAINST HIM THIS WILL BE REPEATED IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY AND WILL RESULT IN CHAOS.
CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD DISMISS THE TN GOVERNMENT AS THE BAND HAS AFFECTED THE DAILY LIFE AND COMMON MAN IS NOT INVOLVED IN THE SETHU
PROJECT. IF THE GOVERNMENT IS SERIOUS ABOUT PEOPLE'S WELFARE THEN IT SHOULD ACT.

RAM SETHU IS MAN MADE !!!
by Gopi Menon on Oct 01, 2007 12:59 PM  Permalink

No doubt about it .Otherwise how to explain that the fact Natural Extension of the Land on the Indian side is EXACTLY joined to the Natural Extension on the Lankan Side?
Also this is the SHORTEST POSSIBLE between the two lands. If it is assumed as 'Natural" one could as well assume a "house " is Naturally formed if you calculate the probability of the Events and Coincidences in this case .
Again, according to reports that came in Rediff in July end,the chemistry/constitution of the boulders found on the Sethu does not represent that of the surrounding marine geology. The boulders have constitution resembling that is found in the LAND farther inside.
Kilometers of Boulders laid to connect two natural protrusions of India and Lanka with the LEAST EFFORT PRINCIPLE (ie to reduce labor by connecting the land extension which will bridge the shortest distance) IS DEFINITELY THE RESULT OF WELL CONSIDERED PLANS THAT ONLY HUMANS CAN THINK OF.
Hence the MOST SCIENTIFIC Conclusion: RAM SETHU IS MAN MADE.
ANY MUDDLE HEADED CHALLENGERS ???

KARUNA THE MAD IDIOT
by krishna on Oct 01, 2007 12:58 PM  Permalink

I am sorry for the heading. Why Karuna is on fast are imposing avirtual bundh on the hapless citizen of TN.No one is opposing the sethu project and all are only worried about the destruction of the bridge built by Lord RAM and his brigade.TN Govt should be summarily dismissed by the centre for the following reason

1)Violating the order of the SC and imposing virtual bundh thus affecting the Fundamental Rights of the citizen

2)Undertaking fast even after SC TOLD NOT TO DENY THE FREEDOM OF FREE MOVEMENT.How police will have the courage to control DMK Hooligans today when CM is brazenly defying the Judiciary

3)Repeatedly insulting Hindu sentiments in this issue. If PM has got some principle let him dismiss TN GOVT or withdraw CONG support to Minority DMK GOVT.

SC judgement
by Netguru ji on Oct 01, 2007 12:57 PM  Permalink

If the citizens of India should feel proud of the SC, then the present TN Govt. should be dismissed without any mercy for calling for a Bandh and troubling the people. This should be a lesson for any Govt. who want to trouble the common man in the name of Bandhs.
