by Fazal Curmally on Nov 16, 2007 02:32 PM  Permalink

Pakistan is a nation of 160 million. It is not inclined to accept whatever the USA has to say because Pakistan is not a convenience. The USA id free to its opinions but we must do whatever is best for us.

by kiran pandya on Nov 15, 2007 04:30 PM  Permalink

If USA has guts, dare musharraf and remove him through force as it has done in Iraq and Afghanisatan. US fears extremists in Pakistan and that is would not be an easy task. SO it is talking of counselling Pakistan and all that bullshit

US stand on PAK
by Gandhi on Nov 15, 2007 02:23 PM  Permalink

We know from current news how US stand on PAK today, they have been strategic patners since cold war days. Historiically US been much closer to PAK and even helping PAK to build Army strengths. Those days it was just to keep the Indo-Russia influence in region down and indirectly keeping India in check.
Now US is urging Musharaff to leave to scene and hand over reigns to democratic govt. Now question is with all the opposition is Jail and all his army and jehadi friends contesting elections, how safe would be PAK? How safe would be the Nuclear installations in PAK? How safe are US,rest of the world and India? I have put the India's name in the last, just thinking it would be spared as it is closest to PAK. It was seen in world war 2 that even the adjoining areas which was bombed atomic had lots of ill effects. So a PAK jihadi bombing India is almost axing his own feet. If US leadership know the answers to my question, they are either brillient and they have the situation under control or if they are waiting for time to see- they are leading the world to a disaster.

ILLEGAL RULAR SUPPORTED BY USA
by gagan tagore on Nov 15, 2007 01:52 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

First USA supported this ILLEGAL RULAR for Pakistan, due regard and diplomatic honour given to Genaral by India in Agra summit but this undemocratic rular played the game but NDA goverment not given hope and go further for peace process and UPA goverment further continue, the result you can see both the Indians and Pakistanis are not hating each other as use to do earlier.this thing can done by democratic means. the citizen of Pakistan are relising now and opting for democratic goverment but this is too late. the jihadis are and extermist are in hold of some part of Pak.

Double starndards of US.
by socata on Nov 15, 2007 01:10 PM  Permalink

US toppled the head of states in Afgan and Iraq claiming that it is going to install democratic Govts. Now Mush has has crushed democracy in Pak for a long time now and is talking terms. Hey what happened to your tomahawks? Perhaps he may intervene if Pak has Oil,gold or Uranium deposits. Mush is already 64. I guess he is planning to confuse the whole world and stick to his seat till his end.LOL.
