Dear Chibber,
i revert your words. about 90% of my community people are good. the act of handfull is blown out of propostion by the media and missionaries to tarnish islam and i am sure that will never happen.
the killings in Gujarat in 2002 by hindu mobs dont represent the entire hindu brotherhood. they are very few. like that in 1.2 billion muslims around the world few thousands are turned terrorits by mullah for their luxurious livelihood.
what happening in pakistan which was born in 1947 on the basis of religion, may replicate in india if we dont curtail fundamentalist organizations

Arsalan I am sure that you are not from India. I think you learn calling a spade a spade. Dont try to hide like an ostrich.
The illiteracy among muslim is highest in the world can You deny this. The tragedy is that the First Surah of Quraan delivered to hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)was Iqra Bismeh (Read read.
Are muslims paying Zakat properly and helping the other downtrodden muslims to improve their lot. Are we doing something concrete or doing lip service.
How many things have been invented by muslims in the last three centuries.
Are we behind in corruption (Pakistan is among the most corrupt statae in the world). Where is the teaching of Halal being followed by the Pakistani muslim.
I suggest instead of shielding the weakness let us expose them and try to address them one by one and this is the best service that we can do to Islam and muslims.
Let us admit a few things that there is a need to invest in education, there is a need to clean ourself from the ills that has become deep rooted like corruption, telling lies, not obeying what allah and Rasool have ordered us to do. Let us prey and seek guidance from allah. Let us shun shirk and Bida.Let us reolve that in one year we will be a good muslim and then we can conquor all our problems

Wat About Ur Islamic Terrorists, These Jerks Kill Innocent People, Why Dont U Speak of Them, Why DO U Target Hindus , When U Muslims Are Killing Ur Own People in Iraq, Iran and Pakistan.
It is Always Muslims Who Start Trouble Everywhere, Look at Godhra, Who Started The Trouble, The Hindus Retaliated in Gujrat, First U Look at Ur Own House, Then U Comment on Hindus.
U First Speak About Ur wn People then PinPoint Fingers At Hindus. If u Point one Finger At Someone, 4 Fingers Are Pointing towards U.

Militants blow up Buddha statue in Swat
By our correspondent
MINGORA: Some unidentified militants blew up the historic statue of Buddha in Jihan Abad area of Swat district on Saturday.
Talking to The News, Muhammad Aqleem, deputy curator of Swat Museum, said some unidentified militants had exploded the 7th century historic statue of Buddha in Jihan Abad area of district Swat on Saturday night. "This is second attack on the 7th century statue of Buddha. The fresh attack caused irreparable loss to its head and also damaged its shoulders."
The curator maintained that the statue belonged to 7th century A.D, and it was the most complete and inspiring symbol of Gandahara art. After the historic statues of Bamyan in Afghanistan, which were destroyed by the Taliban, the swat statue was the sole example of Buddhist cultural heritage.
"It was seven meters tall and 20 feet high from the land, showing Buddha in the condition of meditation. I don't know what they want to achieve by such actions," he added. Aqleem said he had reported the incident to the local police but he did not think that the police would be able to protect Buddhist cultural sites in swat as they themselves were the victims of terrorist attacks.

But this need not be true.hahahahah..muslims are known to always lie and hide the truth..specially when a census is conducted and when asked about their sex, age, marriage and number of children..this is an universal truth..so i pity u if u think muslims are telling u the truth about their marital status..as far as i know most of them have more than 1 wife and an breed of 10 kids located at different houses/cages....
This is one of the few quality articles I have seen for a long time here in rediff, though he does speak too positive about Pakistan common man which is not real. The true reflection of any country is its people and I don%u2019t need to write any thing to reveal the present conditions of Pakistan which reflects its people mentality.
Partition is a painful word. If history decided to part both these countries sixty years back then so be it. The people in general those days were more disciplined, trustworthy and pure in comparison to today. This itself spelled the need to part ways before things would go further sour. Imagine Afghanistan and Iran being our neighbors today (though both are having good relations with India). We would have unimaginable, unsolvable problems at our doorsteps. On the other hand look at what we have achieved as a separate entity. Last 60 years for India by Indians is a shining example of tolerance, sacrifice by a generation, guaranteed good future etc etc. Its an example for others to follow.

Yeah. 61 years is long enough to forget about the gory past and remain focussed on a bright future for our country. Why even bother to show friendship towards a country which has attacked us thrice and still carries a "hate india" policy at the top of its agenda? Let the initiative come from other side of the border and it better be convincing enough for anything positive to happen.

very true and well said. Pakistani's hit the hammer on thier own legs... they were greedy 60 yrs ago and divided a country which was thier own.. now they are helpless and are suffering... India has gone through shit and has yet surfaced succesfull and will always do so... these things have just made us stronger and smarter.. thank you Pakistanis for everything..
I feel its good that pak is created even though it was against the will of the majority. India by itself has lot of problems after 60 yrs of democracy 1. Corrupt leaders with regional aspirations. 2. Poverty still runs at 40%. Its horrible to see after 60 yrs also good population of India lives in streets and slums. Feel very bad to see the living condition of children's of Indian poor after coming from a western country. 3. No improvement in Health Care, Police and Justice even we celebrated 60 yrs. Compare our progress with Japan which was destroyed by second world war. 4. Parts of NE & Kashmir still not integrated with Indian society 5. Naxal and fear of terrorist attack in Indian cities.. No guarantee for life in India.
Now if Pakistan and Bangladesh is with India see where this list will end up.. I think Tarun Vijay only sees the positive side of India, India has lot of problems to be solved before it can say about other countries. India requires dedicated NGO's to fight proverty and corruption instead of writing such and article
