democracy or kingdom of sonia
by R A Sharma on Nov 06, 2007 03:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

governor rajeswar thakur and president pratibha patil must b waiting for signal from their high command sonia, before allowing bjp and jd to form govt, though they have majority.

it is a pity for indian democracy. now sonia has a dummy president also in addition to dummy pm.

she is very power hungry. she is running the govt from behind the scene by taking support of arch rivals and enemy no 1 leftists in the states where they matter. she is also taking support of dmk, who sympathise with killers of rajiv. she is taking help of sharad pawar, whom she has removed from congress after he raised the matter of her italian origin.

earlier also she staked claim for the govt at center, though she did not have the majority support, as sp did not support her.

BJP has gone mad.
by Jeevan on Nov 06, 2007 03:27 PM  Permalink

BJP is between sea and dragon. One side gowda and other side centre cabinet. BJP is striped down and exposed their hunger for power completely. As Musharaf said other day true democracies in west took centuries to attain the current standard and pakistan need time. The same can be correct for Indai as well. We will also need more time but will the bigest democracy ever become a true democracy ?

Governor Thakur Should dissolve the Assembly
by konanur s krishnamurthy on Nov 06, 2007 03:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Within a very short period as Governor of Karnataka, Governor Thakur has earbned the love and respect of the State people who are all fed up with all the MLAs of Karnataka. Unfortunately, under our present Constitution, People have to suffer the looting and amassing of wealth of MLAs for 5 yeaqrs, once they are elected. Is this the essence of democracy? JD(S) twice pulled down the Coalition ministry to serve its own selfish most dishonest interests. The group of MLAs parading in front of the President is an insult to the people of Karnataka and also the President of India. We earnestly hope that the Union cabinet will have the guts to advise vthe President not to revoke the President's rule. Having tasted wonderful and lavish life, the MLAs are all afraid of facing the people aagain. Who cares for their happiness at the cost of thye common man?

Dear Krisnamurthy, can you tell me what respect that man earned. He again showed that, he is Congress agent. Because, why he put the assemly in suspended animation rather dissolving it? just because Congress tried to form Govt.

Krishnamurthy, I agree your views. If JDs and BJP MLAs are under fear, that they know they will be X MLAs after few months(if govt.formed now.). So, they are right in their path of loooooooting KARNATAKA.

in 1997, Congress withdrew support to Devegowda govt in centre, accusing DMK of supporting LTTE who murdered Rajiv Gandhi.
Now DMK is supporting Congress in centre.
So congress has suppressed the articles abt Karunanidhi supporting LTTE.
