If anyone is keen on giving please check thoroughly the antecedents of the organization you plan to give to. As these days most leftist and missionary organizations are using suede SANSKRIT names to confuse Hindu givers.

To give an example: sometime back a movement called Ekal Vidyalaya was started in United States who mission was to educate the tribals and adivasi through there novel scheme called "A Dollar a Day School" or simple put "Single Teacher School" where in each donor pays $365 as donation and adopts a school. This movement was a hit and drastically increase literacy among tribals and reduced missionaries conversion attempts. Clearly festerd by this success the SICKULARISTS in India like Teesta, et al made a lot of noise and even wrote to the US state department negatively. Eventually leftists started another organization named "EKLAVAYA" to confuse Hindu givers and divert funds.

If you want to give give to organizations like Vanvas Kalyan Ashram, Vatsalya Gram et al... but Mind you Christian missionaries have started their own Vatsalya Gram in Bamgalore to confuse and lure Hindu givers....

Jai Hind

Google for world vision where they have clearly
called world vision to be christain humanitarian organisasion.Read the book section where they have advertised two different BIbles.
Now check the link provided in IBNLIVE where they dont mention world vision to be christain organisasion at all.

Yantra, I live in United States and news from India reaches here faster and unfiltered than to the people in India.

I and my family have been victims of these Christian Missionaries umpteem times here in United States....these people know all the languages spoken in India and also know a little bit of Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagwad Geeta to influence and impress gulible Hindu's which are plenty....

ART OF LEAVING CHARGES A LOT
by santosh sandbhor on Nov 01, 2007 10:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is good that Art of Leaving has reached to help the villagers who are trouble due to the environment and government too.

Unlike other money making organization it didn't stay in the Cities only.

But the fees charged for Art of Living is too much? Am I correct in saying so?

It takes money for any organization to function. And it is general tendency that a non-profit organization and its money matters are always looked down upon. The Art of Living is an exceptional organization that does not have donations as its main source of income and most part of its expenditure comes from the fees they collect by teaching courses. In my opinion, a middle class person should be able to afford their fees; and in this matter often individuals realize the fact that the teachings of the courses are well worth the money spent after actually taking the course.

However, it has to be noted they also arrange courses for free through out the world for the people in need in calamity struck regions.

The fee is charged in cities only. That is used for programs like this in Vidarbha. The courses in villages are offered FREE of cost.

Giving money for the course is like helping oneself with the benefit of yoga plus helping
others in time of need.Eg tsunamy victims, kashmiri earth quake victims and now vidarbha farmers.
