What reforms she has did of social or econimical kind. Just few things can you list that she has done so and had lifted up the masses annnd so we call her "Leader of Masses of Masses".
This is a vote against the Goonda Raj of Mulayam.BJP was perceived to be in cahoots with Mulayam. The people had no other alternative but to vote for Mayawati who was perceived as a person who can put Mulayam in his place. The people have not voted for Mayawati out of any love for her.Things can change very rapidly.She make a few mistakes and the people will start looking for alternatives. This is a sign of the maturing of the electoratye and the democracy of India.Now the Netas will actually have to work hard for the people of India.
am sorry to say after reading all the post...i have come to conclusion that most people including me are stupid...u know WHY...THERE IS FIGHTING GOING ON BTW lower and uppercast HINDUS in this forum... THIS IS what pakistan wants....AND i know who is pakistani in this forum one is a guy whose nickname is "AMbadkar".... well said sir. all indians including hindus and indian muslims should be united. follow islam and not "arabized" version of it. Islam in India has become more of cultural domination by the arabs than following thier religion. The gulf is promoting the Arabization of islam in poor countries like india, pak, bangla, indonesia using their petro money. Indian muslims should realize that and follow "Indianized" Islam than the hard-core wahabi arabized version.

Jason, It is not pakistani who wants us divided on caste lines. Ironically they are our own politicians! Tell me which party today doesnot do brainstroming before elections on caste lines? 1.BSP--was formed only on caste basis(dalits however dont understand that political parties are elected to do development,they simply feel that if our party in rule..they will think of us) 2.Congress- Poineer of caste system in india.Started firstly dividing Hindu and Muslim,but unfortunately that vote bank has been hijacked by some smaller parties.Now Arjun sing playes desperate OBC higher education reservation card before elections. 3.BJP- wants all hindus to unite under one banner and vote them to office(they dont need muslims)Unfortunately another vultures(parties)already divided their Hindu vote bank. 4.SP & RJD-- sometimes they play Yadav-Muslim card sometimes other.Another classic example of caste politics. 5.Communists--they neither support religion nor castism..but they will always change their policy as per the situation's demand.Anything to do for SATTA. After independence population of india has not increased...it has actually decreased!!!! Now there are X nos of Muslims..Y nos of Dalits..Z nos of Yadavs and so on!! DIVIDED WE STAND!!

Now the recent UP elections is something to think for the congress party....lets see how much they will try to push reservations in the forth comming years.........i hope Arjun Singh will lose his deposit in the next election....and that will teach him a lesson

Sir, Arjun singh never stood for loksabha in the last decade, he can infact not fight an election from his own home state (MP) where he was a cheif minister once. He got this ministry purely because of his feet licking skills (of Sonia).

Defenetly Congress goes with the reservation push in the forth comming years. If Arjun Singh will lose his deposit that does not mean that what he request is wrong. There is a golden word in tamil, instead of living 1000 years, live a single day like a Tiger. If he lose just because of reservation it is an shame on humanity.
I can clearly say that you have no idea what the great fuss is going on with the reservation politics and the creamy layer concept. If you can understand that you will not support reservation on the caste basis...and please dont make this Arjun Singh, Karunanidhi, Dr(?)Ramadoss tigers of Indian nation. Bcause I can understand tamilnadu politics better that you do... So first try to understand what they are trying to do and motivated for and comment on the issues.

Who is superamist mister has mayawati became CM to dominate one cast over the other ? This is democracy let say even if brahmins have not votes her even then since she is CM of the state UP she has to work for the well fair of all the communities including Brahmins and not just Dslits.Same way even BJP has to think for all section of the society even if minorities dont vote them.Lets say if Brahmins have not votes foe her but still claimimg to have voted for her even then it is a good sign that they have accepted her rule and govt with out any bitterness and they are going to work along with her,Similarly it will be good for minorities to say that they have voted for BJP when they come in power and refrai, from saying from saying that it is a sad day for Democracy and Secularism(I mean if BJP comes to power).
Note:Mayawati had inogarated many Brahmin sabas by gralding the staue of LOrd Parshuram(who was a Brahmin)and Brahmins had pledged to support her.Not only that in each and very town brahmin sabha were held by mayawati's Brahmin managers and they were convincd to vote for BSP.By the way mayawati's right hand and her successor is a brahmin lawyer called Mishra it is he who convinced the Brahmins to votee for BSP.

to r patil mayawati is supremely in command of utterpradesh and she is free to carryout her work for the development of dalits and for poor masses of muslims and poor brahmins, and also for most backwards who did not had any representation so far it is good sign,also if same combination starts forming in karnataka and andhra pradesh then it will be in the interest of dalits and poor muslims and most backwards and not in the interest of lingayats ,wokaligas ,reddys, and kammas, respectively in karnataka and andhra pradesh.
