Eventhough I'm not a communist sympathasier I really support the CM for taking bold steps and demolising illegal resorts and other buildings. We should appreciate him beccause he is taking this courageous steps ignoring opposition from his own party men like Pinarayi Vijayan and other mafia members belonging to Pinarayi group. Please donot stop your drive against illegal structures. March ahead without any fear - people are with you and don't care about what your Polit bureau says. They can't take any steps against you because people are with you. Without you there will be no CPM in kerala. Pinarayi's dream of becoming CM of kerala is out of question. The trio - Pinarayi, Kunjalikutty and K.muralidharan - are supporting the mafia group and they have vested interest. Achumama, all are with you pls donot stop your work in midway. Prakash karat and company may threaten you but don't care about it we are with you.

we, the people of kerala need a leader like you as we are fed up with corrupt leaders like Karunakaran, Chandy, Antony, Pinarayi, Kodiyeri, Kunjalikutty, Muraleedharan.

You may be right about Pinarayi.

But do not try to sneak in the names of people like Karat and Kodiyeri and hope that others will be led by you to believe that they are in the same class.

Do an honest analysis of the records of various political parties on the matter of tackling corruption and you will know that (although you will never like to admit it) the CPM dwarfs every other party in their resoluteness.

Do not hope that the presence of a few doubtful sheep like Pinarayi in the CPM will make the people forget about the pitch black reality that every other political party in India is.

The kettle need not bother about the pot calling it black. Nevertheless the dumb pot neither understands this nor will cease trying to make fun of the kettle.

Mumbai needs Achuthanandan
by ashok on May 22, 2007 06:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have lived in Mumbai for the last 45 years or so and seen its blatant and open rape by politicians, policemen, builders and the bureaucracy.
Though things have started to change with MMRDA coming up, they still leave a lot to be desired.
Chandrashekhar came with a reputation but the land mafia and above entities have softened him up. Maharashtra CM is a helpless politician not enjoying much rapport with HER.
I hope we can get a CM like Achuthanandan who loves his state and its people.

if others donot know how to protest they get nothing. That is why the gujjus make the ghattis slog. I know strike and bandh happens everywhere, pilots strike in france, doctors strike in germany, factory workers strike in japan, in spite of yummy salaries they get. So why should the poor mallu not strike? At least we get better than the 50 rs salary that average bihari gets?

Dear Nikie,

Please read the whole article before posting message.

Have u heard about Smart City in Cochin? It is going to be the largest technocity in India like Dubai Internet city in Dubai.

Have you heard about Vallarpadam Container terminal?

It is going to be the largest container terminal in India, likes of terminals in Hong Kong & Singapore.

Software industry is peanuts when compared to Container terminal business. Just see Singapore, China or even srilanka. The contries major major part of revenue is from Shipping.

Have you heard about Technopark?

It is the first, largest and greenest technology park in India. With companies like Infosys, TCS, Nest, US Software, IBS , TATA Elexi, E&Y, Alliance Cornhill etc to name a few.

HE is the BEST CM in indian history. There were good CM's but Achuthananthan is the best because being a CM he has to continously fight with frauds inside his party, ministry and opposition.

only a demolition of this scale opens our eyes to the vastness of corruption that runs in our society especially in real estate. Just think of the levels of corruption that might be on in Goa and other cities where real estate is booming.

Mr Das

It is not Goa or other lesser cities that top the smelly heap; it is cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi (our pampered Metros) etc. that are dens of corruption of a monstrous scale. And the most unfortunate aspect about it is that the common people in these cities hardly appreciate or are even aware of the extent of the problem.

VS doing good!! But will his party allow him to clean up things?
by Jem on May 22, 2007 06:37 PM  Permalink

Look at the last 1 year of service by the Left govt in Kerala..Only 2 credits,Smartcity and Munnar clean up!! I know VS wants to do things and he is courageous. But overall his position is tied up and he cannot command over the party decisions.

Do you think all these will last long? I doubt it considering the political stunt in Kerala. All the political leaders are pretty close to each other though they come out as fighters in front of public.
If VS can clean up TATA enchroachment and enchroachment of diff political leaders under binami names, then yeah, VS is great CM.

Hope Marxist will not start any unions in Smart city.If it happens, then no fun in starting that city.
