hey listen how come china needed so many tests? and the us and russia? either v have some magic or we follow nuke pysics. of course u need more testing for miniaturisationunless we get it from somewhere already tested or for reentry too. fool urself not pal this is capping ur capability. but hey since whenis de balling non indian?
I sometimes wonder why India needs to develop expensive nuclear weapons? The cost of manufacturing in high, maintanance in high, and the materials are hard to get. If we need a good detterent, should we not consider chemical and biological weapons instead. They are the poorman's N-Bomb, cheaper to make, raw materials are cheaper to get and maintain, and I dont think they have the high technology of N-Weapons.
As a layman, all that one can suggest is that India should complete the series of Nuclear Testing Programme before committing anything in this direction, although it would be a wise decision to keep the options open.

why should india commit to any thing that restructs the scope of india towards any thing for that matter. people say that america has developed such technology that it can do all the neculear testing on computer stimulation and there is no need for real or external test required.and why should india lay down its hand at developed nations feet. indias tolerance and patience is far mor then any other nation for that matters no one is forget about close but nowhere to be seen on this comparison, in second world war japan hit america at one instance at pearl harbour and they responde with two nuclear bombs this is what they call end of patience and tolerance unlike our defination of the same.
there is no one nation in the world who has both capacity and compassion except india. we behave like snake full of potency but still head down and keeps to himself unless endengred or threatned, and many are acting like scorpian who posses less capacity but roamss lith its venom high representation of being proud
I think india first should become a economic superpower or atleast it should concentrate for another 10 to 15 years once its economy become beg enough to be within 5 places in the world, it can have whatever it wants. since whatever a rich person do, it is not at all a mistake, same to the countries.

PKL. Afternoon , 2.40 pm.,Sunday ,2007,May 20 I am certainly persuaded by Sri Raghotham's variations on the above theme ,that the US ABC123 insistence on "No Further Nuclear Testing " if the 'Deal is not to be broken on these terms or/and other such qs . that tell on our right to live as autonomous sovereign democracy untied to US agenda in the Middle-East, is essentially hubris of Bush desires to make ManmohanSingh " another Tony Blair Poodle" wagging his tail at expressed and unexpressed whims of the Texan Tycoon! We must if we wish to keep our confidence in our credible Nuclear -Weapon deterrent capability specifically owing the closing the Dragon-net Chinese are spreading across the Indian seas from Bay of Bengal , Seycelles, Gwadar ,and somewhat closer to Srilanka and Maldiv as well as high Ch. Rail reaching soon almost to borders of Nepal in a short while along the threats about Arunachal Pradesh, ( Tawang and other scantily covered Snowline Posts of the Indian Army )It would be nothing short of living in complacency of the Ostrich burying its head in Sands when threatened...D. Consider the arguments of the world community against testing. The main reason is to prevent an arms race or inturn prevent spreading nuclear weapons. There would of course be purported environmental reasons. Have all the treaties and strictures really prevented that? All along history it has been impossible to prevent the spread of nuclear technology and nuclear power. The number of countries has always increased and is further on its way to increase. The real reason from all the posturing has always been to ensure the strategic supremacy of the nations who are nuclear weapon states and amazingly members of the UNSC.
India has already been through this cycle of sanctions.. it has already paid its price. It should not bow down to US pressure in this regard. This will defeat the very reasons for US deal.. a back door entry into the NPT and the Nuclear nations club.
Will it not be strategically suicidal to build a considerable part of ur nations energy resource on a technology where one is heavily dependent on countries to supply fuel which have been unreliable allies in the past and who continue to arm twist India even as the deal is being negotiated?
The way forward for India could be to invest in renewable energy and work towards a far more long term solution to the energy problems and at the same time keeping strategic freedom
India is far behind to nuclear country...... It is true that only two tests can not make a country fulproof nuclear capable...... during pokhran nuclear blast if nobody has noticed Indian testing what is need for our idiot PM to anounce it to the world..... we might have conducted another 2 - 3 more tests..... Problem with us is we start showing of even we get a very minimal amount..... We are 6th or 7th country in military power and leaving 2,3 countries all others are hostile to us..... including USA(did you forgot americans sent warship to combat with India in support of pakis in bangla liberation war)...... Indian foreign polacies are idiotic in nature...... These indian politics sucks..... In aspan of 20 years US or USSR of china test their technology 1000 times and Indians still developing many of them....
