The problem with BJP voters r that they support them very much but they dont cast their vote...this makes BJP to loose some impotant seats.Yesterday in UP the urban area the strong hold of BJP has seen just 20 % voting....this is very bad of BJP.

No doubt its time come to vote for BJP as in todays soft rule of congress supported by Communist , 1000 of jehadis are crosiing loc in J&K. 1000 of minorities from bangladesh r infilterating in india. Sharabudding was praised as hero....in India TV rajat Sharma has shown his funeral video ,where 1000 of people gathered in jirania village ( indore) , sloganing for jehad, anti India ,firing with rifle, Bhai ka badla le ke rahenge, he declared him as terrorist.....

Now in UP the urban voting is very low because educated people want change to dont cast their votes....

I think a lot of good will happen, if CPIM becomes out of power from West Bengal and Kerala just for a decade.

That will minimize the leftist hold over policy, media.

Caste has been made a central axis of Indian society - both in history as well as politic by Marxists.

Its their contribution.

RE:VOte BJP

The problem is that they don't make up enough of the voters to win it for them. BJP is still the clear leader in urban areas because the Congress is dead, and SP and BSP scare the hell out of them. But in the villages, that type of politics works. As Bihar and UP become more urbanized, casteist parties like JD(U), RJD, LJP, SP and BSP will be crowded out by the BJP and Congress. We can only hope this process is fast, because such regional parties have no right to dictate national politics.

   Forward   |   Report abuse
RE:VOte BJP
by Bhaskar Chattopadhyay on May 04, 2007 04:56 AM  Permalink

Caste politics will NOT stop just like that. Because Indian media is re-enforcing that on a daily basis.

COming from West Bengal (thanks to ground work done by Sri Chaitanyadev some 500 years back), we have had less caste consciousness. But reading everyday alomost in every para, the casteist analysis of events is reenforcing on us. If this can happen to us, I can imagine what may be happening to others.

What needs to be done is Caste coalition. As being done in Bihar and now UP.

Slowly, though BJP doesn't believe in Caste, BJP must build and expand on its caste base and accomodate more and more groups.

Congress is dead. Probabaly marxists will take it over within a decade.

that's why the role of RSS & other non-political parties are important. They have cadres and the ground work needs to be done solwly but surely.

Congress has still got the best and most intellectual talent available with it, even though a party itself may not have a big agenda (like hindu, caste etc) but ultimately it comes to an individual in a party and not the party name as a whole when we talk about our country.

During the brief history of the Congress when it was not under Nehru-Gandhi clan domination, it was on its death-bed (1991- 1998). All types of people rebelled (Chiddy, Mamata, and others). It is a good thing to give the option to comment by all the readers. But I feel that there is a need to filter/edit before these comments are posted on the website, not afterwards. Sometimes the readers are getting highly emotional and attacking other readers personally which will never do any good. The whole purpose of sharing mature and sensible thoughts is getting lost in this war of the words. I also feel the image of the website is getting damaged because of this.

I have written a letter to the editor of rediff in this regards. I think there are too many ignorant and rude people on line who write what ever rubbish that comes to their mind. They are not very educated . It makes rediff look like a CHEAP TABLOID site. They need to be like CNN, BBC where these lal-lu panjus can not post any thing unless is a educated opinion. It does not matter if your views are different its the manner its said in that makes a huge difference. I thing a lot of these people are kids who get one line and think they can say what ever and get away with it.
