During the brief history of the Congress when it was not under Nehru-Gandhi clan domination, it was on its death-bed (1991- 1998). All types of people rebelled (Chiddy, Mamata, and others). So, end of story, the ONLY thing keeping Congress alive is the Nehru-Gandhi clan. What makes that better than a regional party like RJD, TDP, etc. with one dictator.
