B Raman... You are fanatic
by Rajwinder Singh on Jul 28, 2007 11:28 PM  Permalink

B Raman, What kind of writer you are? ... If all the fights/struggles/movements (e.g. Baluch, Sindi) in foreign territory are freedom struggles for you.... then why dont you call similar movements (Sikh, Kashmiri) in your own country as freedom struggles as well? ...

Stronger economy a greater weapon
by Suresh Ram on Apr 11, 2007 06:38 PM  Permalink

Mr. Raman, would you agree that focussing India's efforts on building a stronger economy, reducing concentration of power in the center, allowing not just states, but local municipal auth ori ties such as towns/cities - will have a greater impact on our foreign policy. Formenting trouble by encouraging mercenary careers (terr ori sts) in our neighbours' youth (something our neighbours maybe pursuing) may not be productive.

clean and merge
by Ram Prasad on Apr 06, 2007 09:22 PM  Permalink

war on terror should be launched in pakistan. it can systematically eliminate all ills such as irresponsible fanatics, nuclear arms, and finally a stable and good government can function. once this is done, its merger with india is also possible

Hatred does not kill hatred
by PAWANKUMAR NATHANI on Apr 06, 2007 04:11 PM  Permalink

Dear all,

we all while dealing with pakistan are missing the point that, we are still standing completely is bcoz pakistan is standing.

the day, we try to destroy pakistan or even de-stabilize it, it will backfire. all the responsible people will find their way out of pak and the country will be inhands of irresponsible ones.
And what do u expect the irresponsible ones to do with nuclear warheads?
Will India be safe with trigger happy, lunatics having nuclear weapons?
No, we or rather whole of Indian subcontinent will be a nuclear flashpoint. a incident to remember for the world the perils of nuclear weapons.
The problem needs to be tackled at different level. we need to divert the attention of pak towards other issues and try to maintain its stability.

A stable enemy is always better than irresponsible, unstable friend.....

Balkanize Pakistan
by Vivek Jaiswal on Apr 04, 2007 08:31 AM  Permalink

Dear Mr. Raman

I wonder why India is not working towards the balkanization of pakistan.

Break Sind-Punjab- NWFP should be very logical. Given the very nature of the Pakistan state.

Or are the Indians so bent upon the scraps of their office and internal politics that they are working at furthering their careers and pockets and not in the interests of their nation??

This is not something to ponder but to act on. China has encicled India - from the coco-island to the Gardwar Port. They have given N-Arms to Pakistan. Pakistan is bent on dismembering India - be it in Kashmir, Khalistan, ULFA or bomb blasts in Delhi and Bombay or pumping in arms via Nepal and Bangaladesh. And now the Pakis are getting active in Sri Lanka as well.

It is about time that the Indians paid them back in their own coin and with interest.

Else there may not be much of India left after the ISI plans are implemented and the Indians still pondering over their "peace overtures".

India is not so innocent as potrayed
by Zeppelin on Mar 31, 2007 08:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

B Raman,
u are one of the few who seems to be against the normal relationship between India and Pakistan.

It is very simple India is trying to create disturbance in Pakistan through RAW and Pakistan is doing the same through ISI.

Now if you think that India is not doing any such activity in Pakistan, while Pakistan is doing so, then I can say either you are lying or RAW is impotent.

During my discussions with my Indian friends on the topic of "terrorism" I came to realize that my friends were naive of RAW's activity in Pakistan. They only knew if something bad happens in India blame it on Pakistan.
Then after few discussions and references from web( international media of course not Pakistani media) my Indian friends came to realize RAW and ISI are playing game of tit for tat.
Now the question is when the public will understand this game which is creating fear on both side. This fear is making some defense contractors, politicians, military elite very happy and rich.

Freedom fighters of sindh

re. "The government of India realised that instead of cooperating with India in counter-terrorism, Pakistan was misusing the mechanism to discredit the freedom struggle of the Sindhis as terrorism sponsored by India and also to discredit Pakistani political leaders, who were critical of its army, by projecting them as Indian agents."

Pls re-read this para of B.Raman with the following substitutions for a really interesting experience:
