The people objecting to the arrival of the USS Nimitz are very foolish. US fleet has been operating nuclear vessels for more than 40 years without a single radiation incident. There is no radiation hazard. With regard to security also no need to be concerned. All indians know that you only need to give some money to anyone in MoD and they will give all secrets of the nation away. Any country that is interested like China, US etc already knows all details they need.

why its is not true what Roshan mathew said is very much true.If communist leaders can be on CIA payroll why cant the MoD staff be on CIA payroll.get out of your slumber mate.War plans were leaked as if like we peel a banana...so anyway until then enjoy our MoD staff's sincerity and they mint money by selling the secrets.

A technical team from BARC, Mumbai is going scrutinize the radiation risk. But the problem lies with our security system. For example, when one goes for VISA at US consulate, how they are collecting the information and scrutinize the application. That is what our people will miss. They will simply allow them and they may take some photographs and collect some information realted to national security, as we missed in Kargil.
We should have proper mechanism to check the things thoroughly.
Our Communists would not have opposed had if that Ship belonged to China or Pakistan.They oppose U.S even if it sneez.Tommarow if U.S declares war on Pak our Commies are defanitely going to oppose and cry that Pak is a victim of 'Imperialism'.

Be Hindu or Muslim or Christian , afterall we all are indian and must respect national interest. All three sides Bangladesh, China and Pakistant are not freindly with india because of religion and boundary problems. So the national interest to be an close ally of USA and NATO. HEY CHILL DUDE WHY ARE YOU TAKING THIS SO MUCH PERSONALLY !WE ARE INDIANS AND WE LOVE OUR COUNTRY AND IF ANYONE TRIES TO INTERVENE WE WILL SCREW THEM.
It is well known our Politicians try to talk on half truths with half knowledge rather than clear facts. Similarly a lot of hue and cry has been raised by some politicians on this issue.
I usually read Mr.B.Raman's articles with due respect and seriousness it requires. They are always thought provoking with a lot of insights from his vast experience. But there two issues, he has touched in this article, which I would like to mention here
1. that he clarifies, radiation from Nitimz to Chennai citizens, is as good (or bad)as it is for its sailors and staff of this ship.
2.It is mentioned, that the arrival of this Ship to India, might disturb the muslim community feelings. I would like to differ from this point of view, we have been in the forefront for the Palestenian cause , right from its inception, but it didnot deter the OIC countries from conemning India on Kashmir issue and other issues. They and other similar organisations, have never taken the Indias interests to mind, as much we have taken theirs. In such scenario, why India should be taking precautionary steps on such illusonary feelings of theirs. Rather it is advisable to do what is good for India in longrun than to appease them again. We will not get any support from them. The reasons behind bomb blasts in Mumbai and elsewhere are not directly related to our US relations, than other issues very well mentioned in earlier articles of Mr. Raman.

ertet, u mean the jihadis and communists would solve the indian problems, infact they are the ones who are creating problems out of nothing, u seem to be one of them, get lost to your porkistan or commi china, so that we can live peacefully in our country.
And every US vessel that has berthed in/near Chennai sends our helicopters/aircraft to take pictures of Kalpakkam. Let the govt give clear orders that no flying of any aircraft would be permitted at any cost and violating aircraft should be shot down as he US does from time to time.
