your general knoledge is very very poor. english is not a international language. very few percent of the world population understand english. PM of europian countrys speaks only their langauage & not English. World Event like Football Worldcup, International Meeting many people use own langauage because they feel pride when they speak their langauage. but indians have forgot the meaning of pirde of the nation. indian want to live like slave. first they become slave of Maharaja, then Mughal, Then British Govt, & now Western Culture. Indian Speak English. They Eats Chinese, They dressed & behave like western. where is the freedom. i am MARATHI but still i love HINDI. If you hate HINDI Please leave my Country HINDUSThAN.

Stupid, you have forgotten that Hindi is the national language of India and understood and spoken by more than 90% indians. Just shut up...
Whenever we get any kind of forum with some national issu...rather than getting a patriotis reply we keep on blaming each other. Hindu guy will blame muslims & vice versa.southy will blame northites & vice versa. This is not done boss. We have successful people from all casts & religion wheather they r hindus muslims....marathi,bengali ,south indians northindians..this is because they have changed their attitude.. unlike others...so please do change your attitude . This will help you & our so called great nation. This change will help us getting thousands of ambanis & mittals.....what say?

Anyways dont take any Net forum mudslinging too seriously.. people come here to vent their frustration n stress.. so take a chill pill n go to work... kaam kar kaam.. khaali peeli time waste nahin..

Sujit.. nowadays u can see that there are more n more ppl proud of their motherland - India. Gradually all the differences will vanish n we'l be a great united country!
P.S. Why not encourage marriages b/w northies n southies ;) thats should help to balance some color issues

Yeah but the people so called politicians who are suppose to encourage hardly have time to come out of their own rivalry & are busy in getting fame to their party. Take any developed nations in the world, if they enjoy better life and comfort it is because they have less population. Look at any cities in India, forget about the mega cities, even small towns and cities are getting crowded and becoming a difficult place to live due to various factors. If our future generation needs to have a better place to live India really needs to control the population at the earliest possible in every sections of the society and educate them the best possible way. It may take time but in the long run the effort will be rewarded.

Cities in developed nations have a better quality of lifestyle not because of a smaller population but because of better infrastructure and city management. I have lived for many years in cities like London, Bangkok and New York and these are equally crowded and densely populated. But what works in their favour is some decent city planning and also a large amount of social consciousness, both of which are non-existent in our large cities.
It was Kolkata, till a few years back. Now it is Mumbai. Does it really matter in any way? Coz, in any case the population of both proper Mumbai as well as proper Kolkata are reducing, as has been said in the report. The problem is that the suburbs become more populated than, so to say, the "proper city". More the population density, more is the bottleneck of civic ammenities, more is the exodus from the proper city to the suburbs! By this way Mother Nature keeps the checks & Balances..... So do nothing & see the obvious outcome of exodus of people from the main city area!!!!

Kolkata is far far better than Mumbai (slum and crime capital)..quality of life and people are much better out here compared to any city in India..This is the most cultured place in our country...

Ditto for mumbai. I still look back at my days in mumbay with horror. People living in pathetic living conditions, slums and more slums and horrible suburban trian journeys, traffic jams that extend hours.. Not saying other cities are better. With all the growth rate and improve economy, Indian cities are getting only worse.

Mumbai is densely Populated and hence? its heavily polluted and unclean. Too much road side residence. Restriction to constuct toilets in certain areas. Horrible common toilets. Crowded people residing on either side of road. Spitting of Pan.
